La Latina

Veronika was amazing. We had a small family tour (three of us total) and she brought a deep knowledge of the city’s history, art and architecture, and hidden gems (we went back for the orange cookies!). Our guide Veronika gave us a look at Madrid's history far beyond what we had been able to research on our own! We learned about the political forces behind Madrid's art and architecture, and how powerful families and popular uprisings shaped the medieval and modern city. We also enjoyed churros in the historic center and a coffee at a quiet spot in La Latina, and got some inside tips on the best places to visit for a cocktail, people-watching, and other "off the beaten track" activities.
