Trip to Madrid
Our experience was aboslutely wonderful. Jacqueline was so warm and kind and gave us so many interesting information about the history and the architecture of the city and helped us in managing some practical needs. We loved our visit!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was a great pleasure to be your guide, I really enjoyed our time together. Congratulations on your beautiful family, your four children are absolutely delightful! My best, Jackie.

Highly recommend!!
Mariluz responded via email very quickly and provided thorough, in-depth information on exactly what would be provided in the tour. Our first tour was of the Prado museum and walking downtown. We were so impressed with this tour that we scheduled a second tour later in the week of the Thyssen museum! Our tour guide, Angela, had a strong depth of knowledge across multiple genres and eras of art. Her tours are a great balance of historical context, artist background, and information about the paintings/sculpture. Angela’s tours had a sense of efficiency to cover a fair about of art during the 2 hours, yet felt relaxed, and she was always willing to answer questions. Her level of knowledge was very clear in that anything we saw or asked, she could speak on in an incredibly informed and interesting way. We would highly recommend Madrid Private Tours!

Prado (and peacocks)
Mariluz was an outstanding and very fun guide - she really brought the Prado alive. We wouldn't have got anywhere near as much out of the museum had we decided to go by ourselves. The visit to the Retiro park afterwards was also fantastic - we saw turtles and peacocks! Mariluz was very engaging and we really enjoyed our afternoon. I thoroughly recommend her as a tour guide.
Response from the operator: Dear Naomi, It was such a nice afternoon for me too! Thank you very much for this great review! All the best for all of you! Mariluz Gutiérrez

Excellent museum highlights!
Mariluz was a knowledgeable guide in both the Prado and Reina Sofia. We were able to dodge the crowds while still seeing the highlights in both museums. Our daughter, who loves art and mythology, had a wonderful time sharing stories and experiences.
Response from the operator: Thank you again, Thiffany. Your daughter is amazing. I have never met a girl their age like her! The hug she gave me when leaving you, was really very special for me:). Enjoy your family every moment! Mariluz

Madrid-Toledo trip
Jacqueline is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. With competence, professionalism and passion she told us about Spanish history and managed to make us love Madrid. For example, we visited the Prado museum with her and visited the masterpieces of the greatest painters such as Bosch, Goja, Velázquez, Caravaggio we appreciated the painting techniques and secrets of the great masters. With Jacqueline we spent 3 days doing all the tours, (including Toledo) I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to visit Madrid.

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $402 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Private Prado Museum Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
