About this experience
An essential means of local transport in Siem Reap comes in the form of a “Remork”, an old Khmer name for the almost ubiquitously seen Tuk Tuk: three-wheeled motor cycle taxis that navigate with ease and speed through the streets of Cambodia’s most in-demand destinations. The name Tuk Tuk comes from the sound that rhythmically resonates through the streets and alleys as it delivers customers and goods to its final destination. An open-air travel solution with a high dose of adventure can be yours for half a day when Angkor just needs to be ticked off. Forget air-conditioning, the tinted windows of your vehicle or pedalling on your own power to the centre of the Angkor Archaeological Site universe – Angkor Wat; skilled drivers with a local, incomparable knowledge of Siem Reap deliver a superfluous amount of fun to this Cambodian experience.

What you'll see and do
Angkor Wat
Our guide will pick you up in the morning (or afternoon) from your hotel and head down to Angkor Wat on board your own tuk tuk. Intricately carved bas reliefs extend the length of the outer walls and corridors, depicting mythological scenes and day to day life at the time of Angkor's construction Built by King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat is the cultural home of the Khmer people, in various guises has appeared and is still on the national flag. The Lost City of Angkor was to remain undiscovered by Western archaeologists until the later 19th century and has continued to amaze all who see it for the first time ever since: neither words nor pictures do it justice. Angkor Wat is a legacy of the might that was once the Khmer Empire, a detailed history of which has been carved into the many walls of this fortified temple. The temple is accessible by a giant stone causeway across the hundred ninety meter moat, itself an incredible feat of engineering, to the west face of the Wat. In half a day, we go deep into the history and the integrate workmanship that has been done that made Angkor Wat as it is now. Cambodia’s ancient temple city is one of the wonders of the oriental world. Masterpieces of decorative details as well as of architectural style, its awe-inspiring ruins survive as testament to the spectacular achievements of Southeast Asia’s greatest civilization. And all done on board a local Tuk Tuk! After touring around, our guide and dedicated tuk tuk driver will return you back in your hotel. The tour altogether will take approximately 4 hours.

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (0/5 across 0 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Angkor Wat by Tuk Tuk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
