About this experience
A true wonder of the world, don’t forget visiting Angkor Wat. It is hard to put the experience into words. Certainly worthwhile going at sunrise - even if the weather isn't the best the crowds are smaller and the temperatures are comfortable. Take some time to learn about the culture before visiting so not to insult the locals. On this tour, make an early start and explore Angkor Wat before the crowds arrive. Afterward, take in the highlights of Angkor Wat complex including the jungle temple Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, and Banteay Kdei temple. Our expert guides are extremely knowledgeable about the attractions in Cambodia, as well as hidden gems and local stories that’ll give you a better in-depth understanding of Cambodia. They are also experienced in avoiding crowds, heat and taking great photographs.

Angkor Wat Private Tour
Booked a 1 day private tour for my wife and I. Our driver and tour guide, Mr Sa, picked us up promptly at our hotel in an air conditioned MPV. We decided to visit just 3 Temples - Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, there was the option to visit more temples if we wanted. Mr Sa is an excellent guide very passionate about the history of Cambodia. It was a detailed history lesson and he had answers to all our questions. Although technically it's low season it was busy with local tourists, the weather was hot and humid. Chilled water, napkins and umbrellas were provided by Mr Sa. We had lunch at a recommended lovely local restaurant. All in all I would 100% recommend this tour. Please note that admission tickets to the temples is NOT included and needs to be purchased separately.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Guide from Siem Reap cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Guide from Siem Reap take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Guide from Siem Reap worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 96 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3,473 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Guide from Siem Reap?
+

How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Guide from Siem Reap?
+
Around 1,216 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
