Second visit to Guinness Storehouse was twice as nice - great value for combo pass and flawless ticketing

First time using Big Bus App and really enhanced the experience especially while traveling with an elderly (mid-70s) pasenger. Bus driver and accompanied storyteller were deeply engaged and enlivened so much history and scenery.

Response from the operator: Hi! Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear that the Big Bus App enhanced your experience, especially while travelling with an elderly passenger. It’s wonderful to know that our driver and storyteller brought the history and scenery to life and made your journey so enjoyable. We really appreciate your kind words and hope to see you again on board! Best regards, Denis @ BigBusToursTeam

Fantastic Way to See Dublin — Worth the Price!

This was a full day and definitely worth the price! The Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off combined with the Guinness Storehouse was a great way to explore Dublin while still having the flexibility to add our own plans. We caught the 9:00 AM bus to Kilmainham Gaol for a 9:45 tour (tickets are separate and should be booked in advance). We hopped back on around 11:30, headed to O’Connell Street for lunch, then took the bus to the Guinness Storehouse for our 2:30 PM tour. We still had plenty of time to make our 6:00 PM dinner reservation. The bus stops were easy to find, and the drivers were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There were also some great perks, including free pints and restaurant discounts. Definitely download the Big Bus app! It made finding stops and checking when the next bus would arrive extremely easy. And on a rainy Dublin day, the bus was especially appreciated! The Guinness Storehouse is a must-do. The self-guided tour covers how Guinness is made, its famous marketing, a tasting, and plenty of fun photo opportunities. You finish with an included pint at the Gravity Bar with amazing 360° views over Dublin. There are alternatives to traditional Guinness too, including a non-alcoholic option. Personally, I’d skip paying extra for the STOUTie experience unless you really want a pint with your face printed on it. I did it on a previous trip and was underwhelmed, and this time the line was huge. Overall, five stars! A fun, convenient way to see Dublin and a great value for a full day of sightseeing.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that you got so much value from the experience and were able to make the most of your time in Dublin. It sounds like you planned the perfect day, combining the hop-on, hop-off tour with visits to Kilmainham Gaol, O’Connell Street, and the Guinness Storehouse. We're especially pleased to hear that you found the bus stops easy to locate, the app helpful, and our drivers friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. On a rainy Dublin day, having a convenient way to get around certainly makes a difference! Thank you as well for sharing such useful tips for future visitors. We're thrilled that both the Big Bus Tour and Guinness Storehouse helped make your visit memorable. Thank you for the 5-star recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Dublin again soon! App problems made it...

App problems made it impossible to use the tour we paid for. Guinness wouldn't recognize our tickets. U can buy at the door no problem! We ubered there and paid at the door. Still waiting to see if I get a refund for unactivated tickets.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're disappointed to hear about the issues you experienced accessing your tickets through the app. Guests should be able to use their bookings smoothly and without complications, so we understand how frustrating it was to make alternative arrangements and purchase admission at the door. If you are still awaiting a response regarding the unused tickets, please contact our Customer Service team with your booking reference and details of the additional purchase. Our team can review the status of your booking and advise on any available refund options. You can reach our Dublin customer service team through the following page: https://www.bigbustours.com/en/dublin/contact-us Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Alex@BigBusTours

Excellent Guiness Stonehouse Tour & Hop-on Hop-off Dublin bus tour

The Guinness Stonehouse Ticket was excellent, a very enjoyable experience, pint of Guinness at the end was fantastic as was the views of Dublin from the bar. Guinness Storehouse was a...

Guinness Storehouse was a great experience. Enjoyed the self guided tour and tastings and final pint of Guinness at the top with a view of Dublin. The Big Bus experience was not as positive. Could not connect with the activity provider locally. The bus itself had less available hop on hop off buses than the other hop on hop off companies which made for more wait times to travel around the city. Only a few of the buses had live tour operators. It was difficult to plan a hop off when the automated program guides were giving commentary that did not coordinate with the actual stops. The service did provide an app to live track buses on the route which was helpful.

Response from the operator: Hello Katie! Copilot said: Thank you for your feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the Guinness Storehouse experience, including the tastings and the views over Dublin. We’re sorry to hear that the hop-on hop-off tour did not fully meet your expectations due to the difficulty contacting the local team, bus frequency, and the commentary timing. We’re pleased that the live bus tracking feature in our app was helpful during your visit. We kindly invite you to contact us at info@bigbustours.com so we can take a closer look into this matter with you. Adrian @BigBusTours

Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $76 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 351 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour?

    +

Around 123 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guinness Storehouse Ticket and Big Bus Dublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
