Unforgettable dive at Abades with Cedric — turtles, octopus and more!
We had the most fantastic diving experience with Scubanana at Abades. From start to finish our guide Cedric was brilliant — patient, professional and clearly passionate about the ocean. His care and attention were particularly important as we were diving with a junior PADI diver, and he made sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout (he even 'rescued' me from the waves at the end, ha ha!). The sea life was incredible: turtles, cuttlefish, an octopus, and even a small ray made an appearance, amongst so much other fabulous marine life. What made us choose Scubanana was their PADI Aware programme, promoting care and awareness as divers — we did the turtle awareness experience and it made the dive feel even more special and meaningful. Thank you Cedric and the Scubanana team — we couldn't recommend you more highly. We'll be back!

Higly recommended dive center!
Top dive center - highly recommended! We are experienced divers and did some guided dives and also a freediving course. Top gear, top stuff and a really nice place to dive and freedive there. We saw nearly every time barracudas in the water and much more!

March diving
Had 2 fantastic dives on Friday 13th march and it was brilliant. Ryan was a great guide who knew where to take us for best visibility etc. Rented equipment from the shop that was top quality and really looked after. To add to the day they offer a pickup and drop off service at the cruise terminal. Definitely recommend

Friendly and professional
We went on 5 guided dives with the Scubanana team and were not disappointed. Everyone who works there is friendly and laid back but at the same time very professional. The two guides that took us out (Ryan and Daniel) were excellent. They knew the dive sites like the back their hand and were able to easily deal with mixed groups of varying skill and experience, both in and out of the water. This made for some excellent dives with many different species of fish etc., encountered, including a Manta ray which was probably the highlight of the entire trip. Good job Scubanana, hopefully I'll be back next year.

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers) cost?
+
Prices start at $176 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers) take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 140 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers)?
+
Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does guided Scuba Diving on Tenerife (for certified divers) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
