Terrible experience
We did not see our coach and most especially our holiday time was wasted. My family of 4 arrived at the pick up zone 10minutes before the time that the coach was going to pick up the passengers. There were a lot of people waiting as well. There were coaches that arrived at the bus stop where the pick up zone was and we waited for the Atlantico Excursiones to arrive. One arrived 10 minutes late from the time that they were supposed to come and they did not even tell anyone where they were heading towards. They just stopped, opened the door, closed it and departed without ensuring that there was no longer anyone waiting for them . Another Atlantico arrived a minute after the first one left and we spoke to the lady who got out of the bus and she called for the passengers who booked for Loro Park. The lady waited for all her passengers to go inside the bus before ringing the company to ask why our bus had not arrived going to Mt Tedei. The lady told us to go back to our hotel and ask the person we booked with. So we left the pick up zone frustrated and not happy at all because our precious time was wasted during our holiday. We went back to our hotel and the lady who helped us book the excursion spoke to the Atlantico Company and said the bus arrived late. It was supposed to be there for 8:25 pickup, but instead it arrived at 8:34 and waited for 4 minutes, only to then leave without us knowing. How come the driver, or even the assistance, did not make the effort to check that there were no passengers who were still there waiting? Pls do not book from this company if possible. I will definitely not recommend this company to my friends and colleagues as I don't want them to experience what happened to my family and I. I wanted to give this review because I don't want this to happen to anyone. In fact, there was actually a mother and a daughter with us waiting to go on this excursion with the same company that also did not manage to go. It's not only the money that was wasted, but most especially the time and moments that we were expecting to have whilst on holiday .
Response from the operator: We regret the situation and are sorry you were unable to take the tour. However, we would like to clarify what happened. Our bus arrived at the designated pick-up point and picked up four other passengers. The bus remained there for an additional 5 minutes waiting for your arrival, as we usually do to allow our customers time in case of any delays. During that time, we were unfortunately unable to reach you. As is our standard practice in these situations, we attempt to contact our customers by phone when we cannot locate them at the pick-up point. However, in this case, it was not possible because the point of sale where you purchased the tour did not include the passengers' names or a contact phone number when you made the booking. Even so, our guide walked around the bus stop announcing the name of the tour and our company in an attempt to locate you. Since this is a shared tour, the bus must pick up other passengers at different points before beginning the tour of the north of the island. For this reason, once the 5-minute grace period has elapsed, we must continue our route to respect the schedules of the next pick-ups and avoid inconveniencing other customers. We understand that this situation may have been inconvenient and regret that you were ultimately unable to enjoy the excursion. If you wish, you can write to us at marketing@atlanticoexcursiones.com and we will send you the vehicle's GPS log, where you can verify that the bus was at the indicated pick-up point and remained there during the waiting time. Sincerely, Atlántico Excursiones

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half-day excursion to Teide National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Half-day excursion to Teide National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half-day excursion to Teide National Park take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Half-day excursion to Teide National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half-day excursion to Teide National Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half-day excursion to Teide National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half-day excursion to Teide National Park?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half-day excursion to Teide National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
