Blue Mosque
This is a 17 century active mosque and the most visited one in Turkey. Original name is Sultanahmet mosque. Blue is the name give because of the blue tiles used inside. * it was closed due to renovation for last 6 years but it is open now since April 21st.

This is the base of the Roman hippodrome which was built in 4 century AD for chariot races. The monuments survived to present are Egyptian obelisk ( 1500 BC ) Serpent column ( 5th century BC ) , Constantine column ( 10 century AD).

This is a water reservoir which looks like an underground palace. Basilica Cistern one of the most impressive example of Roman architecture. Don't miss to walk to the end to see the gigantic Medusa heads turned upside down.

Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque
We visit this 6 century AD world heritage from inside. It is a unique building embrace two religion ( Islam and Christianity ) inside. You will see an unusual architecture, mosaics, chirography art, and your guide will give you information about its 1500 history, architecture and religion symbols.

Corlulu Ali Pasa Medresesi
We will have a tea/coffee break at this local cafe where the locals get socialize with tea and coffee drinking and smoking shisha/hookah. This was a former religious school until 1930s. Drinks are included to the tour price.

Grand Bazaar
We will visit the Grand bazaar from inside where your guide will give you some tips on shopping. Tour will end nearby where you can come back for shopping. Please note that, Grand bazaar is closed on Sundays so it will be substituted with Spice bazaar. Additionally, both bazaars are closed on religious festivals twice a year and in those days it will be substituted with Arasta bazaar.

Vezirhan Handmade Carpets & Klims
This a great way to see and learn how the handmade Turkish carpets are made. It is a shop suited in a 500 years old Caravanserai ( ancient hotel ). What makes this place different than others is that they are not pushy on selling, trustworthy on the carpets quality and shipping for those who buy. This is an optional activity at the end of the tour so only those who are interested will join.

An Unforgettable Tour with an Exceptional Guide
Our tour was fantastic, largely thanks to our incredibly knowledgeable tour guide Beyhan! She answered every question we had with genuine expertise. What we loved most was how she helped us discover not just the famous sights, but also a little of everyday Turkish life. Learning how locals traditionally enjoy their Turkish coffee and tea was a wonderful and authentic touch that made the tour feel truly special. 🥰 We came away with a much deeper appreciation for Turkish culture, history, and traditions. Highly recommended — an exceptional guide who genuinely went above and beyond to make our experience memorable! Thank you, Beyhan!

Great Experience, Bring your Walking Shoes!
My husband and I loved our experience of this guided tour! Our guide, Beyhan, was excellent. We met her at the meeting point location which was super easy to find and very close to the tram line. We loved that our group was just us and one other person —it was great to do such a personal tour without headsets and Beyhan was able to answer our questions throughout. We hit all the big spots mentioned in the itinerary. One thing that was not super clear was the fact that the entrance fees were NOT included in the price of the experience — however, our guide explained that they do this because the entrance fees change often (which is not within their control) so it’s easier for them to have clients pay in cash on the day of the experience. The convenient thing is the guides purchases the tickets in advance so there is no waiting in line. The length of the tour is about 3.5 hours and it felt like we had a significant amount of time at each stop. Beyhan also took us to a local coffee shop before we reached the Grand Bazaar. It was very cool because it was tucked away so there were few tourists and the coffee and teas were great. Definitely be prepared to walk but this was a great tour experience of Istanbul’s highlights!

I would definitely recommend this tour if you visit Istanbul. Special shout out to Beyhan, our tour guide. She is passionate about the history and intro us a local coffee shop which you will never find out as a tourist.

Great introduction to the old Istanbul city
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Beyhan was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. The only disappointment was that there are significant construction works happening on the Hagia Sofia at the moment and we didn’t think it was worth the entrance fee at the moment. But you could choose not to go in and still do the tour. Tea and coffee in the local cafe was a lovely experience.
