Richard really brought it for this tour!
This was a 10 star experience. Our guide Richard James is a world history expert. Not only could he explain the Alhambra and its context in history, he could discuss any historical topic. He was a GREAT guide and we highly recommend this tour. We chose it at the last minute due to poor planning and really lucked out.

Rough start, Great finish
The tour started off a bit rough. We had a 3:00 time and no show by the guide. Apparently we should have been notified that they moved us to 3:30. After using the tour operator contact in the app we were assured he would be there. This was an administrative error and not the fault of the guide. Once he arrived the tour was thorough and wonderful as advertised. The guide was knowledgeable and personable. We learned a lot and got some great pics. Though part of the site was closed for renovation, we experienced the rest of Alhambra in great detail. It ended up we were the only participants so it ended up as a private tour. A bit pricey but was worth it in our opinion!
