We did Crown Tours of the Alhambra in Granada. Arturo was an exceptionally good guide, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, kept everything on a good pace, answered questions with zeal and positive answers that informed and inspired. Ask for Arturo!

Travellers BEWARE - frustrating time change at the last minute
We booked a tour for 2PM. I was only advised of a time change necessitated by “unexpected operational regulations introduced by the Alhambra authorities” at 9AM on the day as I was on my way to Granada from Sevilla. I was given an option for a 5:30PM tour which would include tickets to the Nasrid Palaces or I could stay on the 2PM tour, which would not include the Nasrid Palaces. I asked for evidence of the change of time advice from the Alhambra authorities but was told that it was communications private to the company. I had made transportation arrangements to leave Granada by 6PM so I had no choice but to “accept” the 2PM option without access to the Nasrid Palaces. This was very disappointing as we had come a long way for the Alhambra and my tickets were confirmed months ahead of time. I highly suspect that it was either a problem on the part of the operator, Crown Tours, as I was told by the information desk at the Alhambra that they would issue no such last minute requirements. So future travellers beware. Having said so, the Alhambra was beautiful, and our guide, Fernando, was absolutely fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, and made up for what would have been a disastrous experience with this amazing monument and our travellers experience with Spain

In depth trip round the Alhambara
Gabrielle like all the guides we had in South Spain is an art historian She really knew her stuff. She was a mine of information and marshalled our small group of 7 ( four different nationalities) remarkably well. The trip covers the whole of the Alhambara, the palaces, and the Generalife ( the gardens). We would have seen more of the surrounding buildings if it hadnt been for that scourge of all European culture, Napoleon Bonaparte! The only mild niggle was the start time being moved to 0830 which meant we had to have a swift breakfast and take a taxi to the meeting point ( though it would have been quite a climb) I highly recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Blaming Napoleon for the missing buildings made us smile! Gabrielle marshalling seven people from four different nationalities around the palaces and the Generalife sounds like quite a feat, and we're glad she knew her stuff so well.
