Amazing kitesurf group lessons

We were two total beginners and had 4 sessions of kitesurf group lessons within a week, finally we were even partially able to ride upwind! It was a wonderful experience as Mauricio is such a highly competent teacher, a great motivator and an amazing person. He even took us to an outstanding kitesurf spot further north in El Cuyo to get perfect wind conditions. We would like to thank you so much for this unforgettable vacation and highly recommend this to everyone!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Lukas!! I had a great time teaching you and you have an amazing vibe! I am so happy that you decide to come to El Cuyo with me and next time you come you can stay in Cucu, finally we open our hotel :-) ! Send you a big hug and if you ever come back to the area, we will be here! Have a great day :-)

This was the best experience I could have imagined. Mauricio and Antonio were both incredible coaches and made the process really fun. Don’t look any further, just use these guys if you want to Kitesurf!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your great review. We are very happy you had a great experience with Mau and Antonio. We look forward to your next visit. Keep kiting! Best from Tulum. Rocio & Mauricio

Kiteboarding is addicting!

As winter guides and instructors ourselves, it's not easy for us to sign up for lessons and tours. Mauricio was absolutely perfect for a couple of hard to teach people such as ourselves. We did a 2 person kite lesson one day and a cenote paddle/snorkel another. Props to Mauricio for getting us on the right kiteboarding path and showing us his cenote "stashes". And the departure tacos...also 5 star.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your time and great review. We really had a great time with you guys both on your kitesurfing lessons and on the paddleboarding cenote tour. We are happy you enjoyed both. We look forward to your next visit. Keep kiting! Best, Rocio & Mauricio

First kite surfing experience - such a beautiful sport

I cannot tell you what a positive experience this was, but I will try! I was very excited to try Kite Surf lessons, however (although obvious in retrospect), I was not Considering how dependent kitesurfing was on the essential wind. But Mauricio messages us during our stay, to make our lessons shift to the most optimal time. I only wish we’d allowed more time for learning, because really would’ve loved a third lesson, which the wind did not permit in our short time frame. Lesson learned: start lessons early during the trip, have flexibility. Beau was our instructor and had an incredibly positive and encouraging energy. I loved watching him cut through the water to show us how to get up in the board...he made it all seem so easy. Everyone we worked with was encouraging and made the whole experience very positive. What a beautiful sport and time well spent with great teachers. Would do it again - only longer.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this great review!!! Kitesurfing is our passion and we are very grateful to be able to share this passion with people as nice as you. Have a great day and if you ever come back to Tulum, we will be here ;-) Mauricio

All our team had an awesome time with you guys on the paddleboarding tour and at the beach on your kitesurfing lessons. We look forward to your next visit. Abrazo fuerte de todo el equipo Rocio & Mauricio

Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum cost?

+

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Group Kiteboarding Lesson in Tulum start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

+

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
