Beautiful helicopter ride over the Canyon!

Wonderful experience! My wife and I took our 14 month-old on the North Rim tour (about 30 minutes) and it was worth every penny! The little one had a blast, I had a great time and so did she! We joined another couple and the views were breathtaking to say the least, but wow! The whole flight, loading, unloading, safety experience was top notch. Thanks Papillion!

Response from the operator: Sounds like you had a perfect day at the Grand Canyon! We're thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the tour, and that the process from start to finish went smoothly. Thank you for touring with us! Sincerely, GCSA Management

Tantalizing 30 min, unmatched photo opportunities!

First off- place is extremely easy to find. Its about 20 minutes drive from Grand Canyon Village or about 5 min from anywhere in Tusayan. Parking is ample. Check-in: Smooth as expected and staff is very friendly and share with you what all you can do while you wait for your flight Boarding: Ground crew helpfully and politely guides you to your seat (you cannot just sit wherever you want for weight distribution reasons) Flight: Worth every penny! I don't have to tell you that the views were spectacular since that's what you paid for. Added bonus - funny and chatty pilot, music in the helicopter for the few min until we're over the canyon, voiceover guidance once above the canyon.

Response from the operator: Sounds like you had a perfect experience at the Grand Canyon! We're thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the tour and the service our staff provided. Thank you for touring with us -- we would love to fly with you again. Sincerely, Papillon Management

    Amazing

We booked a highlights aircraft tour with Papillion. They picked us up from our hotel in Vegas & drove us out to Boulder City airport. Once we checked in, we waited a short while for our pilot to come & get us. She was excellent. You get assigned a seat based on weight. Everybody has a window seat so there are no bad seats. The flight was excellent, you get to see Lake Mead & the Hoover Dam before flying over the west rim of the Grand Canyon. The pilot slows down over the Canyon so you can get to take in all the sights. It doesn't matter which side of the plane you sit on as if you get to see the other side on the way back. Papillion have great customer service, their drivers were on time to pick us up & all their staff are friendly & polite. I would highly recommend their tours.

Response from the operator: Sounds like you had a perfect day at the Grand Canyon! We're thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the tour, and that the process from start to finish went smoothly. Thank you for touring with us! Sincerely, GCSA Management

Bus driver Sonny saved our vacation!

My partner and I went on an amazing scenic flight over the Grand Canyon! We later boarded a bus where my partner left her phone on the seat. We urgently called the agency and notified them, they acted swiftly, Sonny the bus driver actually rescued the phone from the hands of a thief!! that tried to get away with our phone. All in all Sonny saved our vacation and deserves the highest of praise!! Thank you Sonny!

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking time to post a review, we're pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the tour, our services, and the exceptional help you received from your driver Sonny! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your vacation! Sincerely, GCSA Management

That is what I call customer service

We arrived to find we were the only 2 for the fixed wing flight and they need a minimum of 6. Feeling a bit sad at this point as Grand Canyon a bucket lister for me and unlikely to pass this way again. Next minute they upgraded us to a helicopter tour, the full canyon circuit not the short 30 minute one, and on a competitor’s flight. They paid the significant difference in price. We were amazed and delighted. The tour itself over the canyon was of course a wonder to behold. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of GCScenic Airlines. Thank you!

Response from the operator: We're happy to hear how much you enjoyed the tour and the service our staff provided. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit. Thank you for flying with us! Sincerely, GCSA Management

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kingman.

How much does Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor cost?

    +

Prices start at $184 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kingman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor take?

    +

Plan for about 0.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kingman is not rushed.

Is Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kingman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kingman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kingman and add a light layer if any part of the 0.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Grand Canyon West: Flight of the Condor start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kingman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kingman?

    +

Kingman, AZ packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Kingman by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Kingman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oatman Mining Camp & Burros: Historic Route 66 Tour from Laughlin, Grand Canyon West Skywalk Small-Group Day Tour from Laughlin, NV, Scenic Desert Wine Distillery Brewery Route 66 Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kingman?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Kingman, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kingman?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
