Best excursion ever. Brandon the guide was wonderful, The horseback ride, amazing and Cowboy Dave was hilarious.
Brandon, our guide, picked us up in Vegas and drove us to the ranch. To make the drive more enjoyable he stopped along the way to the ranch and also on the way back, so we could take pictures. The ranch is so nice and the horseback ride was amazing. You do get your moneys worth on the horseback ride. Great views and a fun trail ride. The lunch, bbq ribs, beans, corn, bun and dessert was very good. The entertainment by cowboy Dave was great. What a nice and funny guy. It was just such a wonderful day. I am so glad I found this tour.
Response from the operator: Wow—thank you for such a heartfelt and vivid review! We're so glad your day hit all the right notes—from Brandon’s thoughtful guiding and scenic photo stops to the trail ride’s stunning views and Cowboy Dave’s one-of-a-kind humor. It sounds like every part of the adventure delivered—from saddle to supper! We’ll make sure Brandon and Dave hear how much their efforts meant to you. Can’t wait to have you ride with us again for more laughs, great food, and unforgettable memories! 🐎🍖📸🌵 Let us know when you're ready to hit the trail again!

A glimpse into The cowboy life
The horseback ride of the Desert Wonder Tour was a one of kind experience for us. Our guide Susan was super ponctual, very kind and extremely knowledgeable of the area. We learn a lot about life and living animals and trees in AZ, saw a coyote, a road runner, buffalo, Joshua trees, desert sand tornadoes... The horse ride was phenomenal. Jessica the horse master has her horses well trained, very docile, used to riders and the terrain. It was so much fun and relaxing riding them. This adventure was a perfect break from the 9-5. At lunch, you meet Cowboy Dave, great singer and awesome entertainer (Ask him about the Buffalo Head 😂😂😂). The whole crew was layback and fun to be around. We are planning on going to their campfire.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the horseback ride adventure and found the day perfectly planned. Susan and Jennifer will be delighted to hear your praise. Cowboy Dave is quite the character, isn't he? We're glad you enjoyed the lunch and entertainment. We look forward to welcoming you back for another fun and relaxing adventure!

Fun Relaxed Adventure
The horseback ride adventure was just phenomenal! The whole day was perfectly planned and executed. Susan our tour guide was on time down to the second. She was super knowledgeable about the area. We did learn a lot over the 1 hour drive from Kingman. Jennifer the horse guide was excellent. Perfect directions from the get go, very safe and enjoyable ride, nice terrain, beautiful view, then the Buffalo.. and we saw some coyote and a roadrunner. Then lunch time, very cowboy oriented salon and food and that's where you'll meet cowboy Dave! That guy was hilarious... Ask him about the mounted Buffalo Head 😂😂😂 and he can sing! Very friendly team, family oriented fun, very relaxed and melts your stress away...
Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kingman.
How much does Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy cost?
+
Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kingman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kingman is not rushed.
Is Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kingman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kingman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kingman and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horseback Ride Joshua Tree Forest Buffalo Lunch Singing Cowboy start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kingman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kingman?
+
Kingman, AZ packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Kingman by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Kingman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oatman Mining Camp & Burros: Historic Route 66 Tour from Laughlin, Grand Canyon West Skywalk Small-Group Day Tour from Laughlin, NV, Scenic Desert Wine Distillery Brewery Route 66 Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kingman?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Kingman, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kingman?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
