First Rate Tour of the Grand Canyon
This was our first trip out west to see the Grand Canyon. I had success with other tours advertised on Trip Advisor, so I booked this one that lasted all day with lunch included. I received a reminder text the day prior to our tour and Keaton picked us up in a travel van at our motel promptly at 8:30 the next morning. He certainly knows the history and genealogy of the Grand Canyon and spoke about interesting details of how the whole canyon tourist industry began over a century ago. Due to the recent flooding in the canyon, all restaurants were closed but food trucks were available. Our tour included a total of four senior couples including my wife and me. The tour guide avoided overlooks that might have included lots of walking, such as the popular Mather Point overlook, near the main visitor center. Our day tour included Yavapai Point and Geology Museum, Bright Angel Lodge, Lookout Studio, Kolb Studio, Buckey’s Cabin, El Tovar Hotel and other viewing sites along the rim. Overall, this was well worth the money for someone else to do the driving and at the same time learn about the geology, history and fascinating people like John Powell, Mary Coulter and Fred Harvey. Each person received a free National Park Field Guide on the tour. I do have one suggestion for our guide: it would be helpful if you could wear a headset mic while driving (if legal). Sitting in the back of the van, it was hard to hear you sometimes on our trip up Hwy 64. Other than that, it was a most enjoyable experience, I highly recommend it!

Great Experience
Tour guide, Keaton, is very nice and very knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and the area. The small tour group was great as well. Taking this tour was definitely the best way to view the Grand Canyon and the area.

Grand Canyon Was Amazing!
I took the Grand Canyon Tour with lunch and let me say, from beginning to end, it was amazing. I had some mobility issues so I contacted the company prior to starting the tour and asked numerous questions trying to determine if this tour would work for me. The individual was kind, considerate and assured me if I booked the tour, I would be well taken care of and my mobility issues would be considered every step of the way throughout the tour. I decided to book. On pick up day, everything that I requested for mobility was remembered by the tour lead, and he was right on time. The drive to the Canyon from Williams, though it was a distance, the tour guide made the ride enjoyable as he taught about the areas we were driving through. Upon arrival at the Canyon, we were able to discuss the agenda, choosing where to spend more time and where to spend less. For example, we aren't shoppers, so we chose to spend more time looking at the Canyon instead of the stores. It was great to not feel pressured to buy things. At each stop, the tour guide was prepared with points of learning based on where we were in the Canyon. much more information than was found in the small museums and we could ask even the stupidest of questions! He was a wealth of knowledge that didn't go unnoticed or appreciated. The guide also went above and beyond and took videos and pictures as requested; he seemed to know the best places and his telescope he brought along was a great addition. He pointed out folks on donkeys down in the Canyon, bridges, and even a small area with cabins and such that you could not see with the naked eye. It was awesome. We even saw a California Condor swoop above us at one point - what an amazing creature! Overall, I would not hesitate to take this tour, it is affordable and a great way to learn so much about the Canyon. I would have never got the experience of the Canyon that I did just driving and walking through on my own. I plan to take this tour again now that my mobility issues are improving and I can walk further distances!

Phenomenal Grand Canyon Day Tour
I highly recommend taking this tour with Grand Canyon Day Tours as the owner and tour guide, Keaton, is extremely knowledgeable as a tour guide. He is educated in the areas of biology, geology and history and shares all that knowledge in relation to the Grand Canyon. Your tour starts with him picking you up in the morning at your hotel in a comfortable van while he teaches you about the surrounding landscape and animal life on your ride up to the canyon. You will have the opportunity to stop at many look-out sites while visiting the south and east rims of the canyon. You will also learn about the pioneers who started various businesses around the canyon and visit sites tied to these individuals. Visiting the Canyon museums is also part of the tour. Keaton provides binoculars for each tour member, and he also brings along a spotting scope, which he sets up for your use. He will show you examples of various rock that make up the canyon and describe them to you. There is no strenuous walking involved and there are plenty of rest breaks and opportunities to visit gift shops and explore on your own. Also, a great lunch is provided as part of your tour at a cafeteria where you can select what you’d like to eat. Keaton has several snacks and drinks in his van to indulge in as well. I believe we gained more knowledge and experienced more taking this tour of the Grand Canyon than we would have if we had taken the train. It was definitely a full and enjoyable day with a seasoned tour guide!
