What you get

    About this experience

There’s no other hike near Denver where your trail companions are rescue goats. Follow the goats through the red rock landscape of Matthews/Winters Park, passing the remains of a Gold Rush settlement and one of Colorado’s oldest cemeteries at whatever pace the herd feels like setting. It’s scenic, unhurried, and gives back. Every hike supports the animals at Molly’s Menagerie, local trail preservation, and Native students.

Awesome, fun & scenic…best hike ever.

Truly I can’t say enough. The location was stunning, Kayson was very personable & shared lots of interesting stories & facts about the area. Krampus & Fergus (the goats) were so much fun & a blast to interact with. Thanks again Kayson for a wonderful hike, I’ll definitely hike again.

Kayson and his goats are great guides!

Kayson and his bearded buddies were fantastic guides. The views were beautiful (even a double rainbow after a bit of cooling rain) and the hike was a great start to my Colorado trip! The terrain is easy to navigate, with exception of a short rocky area which was not difficult, but required a bit more caution. Wear shoes with good traction so you can take advantage of all the photo opportunities. Kayson offered a 1 or 3 mile route, but choosing the 3 mile hike will offer potential fauna spottings and views that you may miss on the 1 mile. I loved having a pack of treats to feed the goats along the way, and Kayson was enthusiast to share and spot the local animals and to share history. Be flexible to changes regarding unexpected weather or potential dangers. I really enjoyed this hike, highly recommend for a great morning or evening experience! This hike supports Kayson's animal rescue, which is a double win!

Response from the operator: Thank you for making us part of your Colorado trip! That double rainbow was a pretty great bonus. I’m so glad you enjoyed the hike and spending time with the bearded crew!

    Unique and fun hike!

My husband and I had a great time meeting and hiking with Kayson and goats Milton and Krampus! We had never really spent much time with goats before, and they only recently stated doing hikes but they were pretty well behaved and easy to manage on the hike! The scenery was absolutely beautiful and we saw some nature including deer, various birds and a coyote (from afar). Kayson was a great guide and took lots of pictures for us! I would recommend this hike to anyone looking for a unique hiking/outdoor experience in the Denver/Red Rocks area!

Response from the operator: Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed getting to know Milton and Krampus. The deer and coyote sightings were a great bonus, and I’m glad you have some photos to remember the hike!

    This experience was so...

This experience was so much fun! Easy hike, Carson and Molly are fun and knowledgeable and the goats are hilarious. This was a unique experience and my teen boys had a great time.

Response from the operator: Thanks for hiking with us! We’re so glad you and your family had a great time. The goats do make pretty entertaining hiking companions!

    So fun and unique!

What a unique and fun experience! The hike itself had gorgeous views and then add in the goats and it made it that much better! The goats’ personalities were fun and they were so sweet. :) Kayson shared some interesting information about the area and took and shared awesome photos and videos.

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining us! I’m glad you enjoyed meeting the goats and exploring the area. It was a pleasure having you along!

Goat hiking adventure near Morrison: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Denver.

How much does Goat hiking adventure near Morrison cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Denver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Goat hiking adventure near Morrison take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Denver is not rushed.

Is Goat hiking adventure near Morrison worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Denver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Goat hiking adventure near Morrison?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Goat hiking adventure near Morrison suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Goat hiking adventure near Morrison?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Denver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Denver and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Goat hiking adventure near Morrison start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Denver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Denver?

    +

Denver is a launch pad. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks and the Georgetown rail loop all run as day trips, and altitude makes the timing of your first hike matter. In town: brewery crawls, Union Station food walks and Red Rocks show nights. We rank mountain operators on van size, pace and whether they build in altitude acclimatisation. On Outty we rank every Denver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Downtown Denver Food Tour, Twilight Ghost Tour, Small Group Tour of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods from Denver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Denver?

    +

June to September for open mountain passes, or December to March for ski shuttles. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Denver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
