We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie.

The Devil's Pulpet
I really enjoyed it, the guide made sure I was safe and went with me all the way. Turned out this day I was the only one booked and got to chat with Faranse the whole way, very interesting and nice guy. The views were incredible unlike anything you'll ever see anywhere else.

This was great; so...
This was great; so thankful I had a smart guide in Ference. He kept us safe and helped us cross the gorge. He also knew all the spots and ways to take a great picture. There is definitely a need for some flexibility and agility on the way. Do wear hiking boots as the muddy bits can be a bit slippy. GORGEous little gem. It would be nice to know there were no bathrooms on the journey in advance. And for the price, it feels like they could have water for you back at the van.

Great experience! You definitely need to be fit to do this excursion. I would also recommend wearing hiking boots and pants you can easily roll up. You will get wet!

Not happt
This was the ONLY bad experience we had in Scotland. The guide seemed to be in a hurry from the moment he picked us up. The write up on this was nothing like the experience. I am seasoned hiker, but no where did it describe the conditions of the downhill and return up climb. No where did we see that to do the entire trip we had to walk barefoot in water, or bring a towel. When we declined to do so, the guide was pushy about taking photos and then leaving. Then he offerred (for more money of course) to take us to a waterfall. Since we felt we had used less then 2 hrs of our 3 hr tour, that this was uncalled for. I would really think again how you advertise this and I am questioning anything else I will ever book with your site.
Response from the operator: We are sorry you were surprised by the tour, but this is entirely due to not reading the detailed tour description carefully beforehand. The itinerary clearly states that this is a forest adventure tour involving physical activities, including descending in the middle of the woods to more challenging terrain. Such elements are explicitly part of the experience. The water section is entirely optional. The majority of participants choose to do it because the scenery is spectacular, but no one is forced to participate. This is an outdoor forest adventure tour, not a relaxed city sightseeing trip. If someone is not in adequate physical condition or has no interest in active, nature-based activities, we strongly recommend booking a city tour instead. This tour is designed for guests who are reasonably fit and have at least some experience with a sporty, active lifestyle. The pace of the group depends solely on the fitness level and adventurous spirit of the participants. The tour guide cannot be held responsible if a guest is unable to complete the activities they booked. We explicitly advise against booking this type of tour if you are not accustomed to physical exertion. Regarding the tour guide offering to take photos for solo travelers or family groups: this is an act of kindness and helpfulness, not impropriety. We do not understand how such a gesture can be interpreted negatively. We stand by our tour descriptions and expect our guests to read them thoroughly before booking. This ensures everyone has realistic expectations and an enjoyable experience.
