Nice stop
Tour begins in the shop on the first level, then moves into a room with a short video, moves up to the second floor with more history and then a short story about how it’s made. Tour is one hour and the tasting is three whiskies and a souvenir shot glass

Great Tour and Tastings
Having done distillery tours in the double figures by now I'm always impressed when I find a new distillery doing it really well, as Clydeside is. Firstly it's a lovely location in the old Queens Dock, more than walkable from the city centre on a nice day, with a stunning facade of the old pump house and the new glass box still-house joined at the hip. The shop and bar is plenty big enough for a wander round for 10-15 minutes so do arrive early for the tour, someone will grab you and make sure to give you a paper ticket if you booked online or over the phone. The tour starts with a brief introduction and then a high-quality video about life on the docks, with subtitles for the non-locals! Then it's off to a small museum space upstairs which is really well thought-out, some interesting exhibits and videos playing, such a welcome sight on a distillery tour and encourages you to learn at your own pace. Then it's off to learn about the grist, the wort and the wash etc, see the milling machinery and the washbacks, then that stunning view of the Clyde from the bright copper stills. Of course no tour would be complete without a tasting of the core range, the ex-bourbon cask Stobcross, the oloroso-cask matured (not finished) Napier, and the peated Fortnight, so called because it's only made for two weeks a year. If you like smoky whisky but not the medicinal Islay style this could be the one for you. They're all very good, bottled at a healthy 46% with no colour and no chill-filtration etc. Finally it's time to head to the shop or the bar, do check in advance the opening times as it changes a lot but if you're quick you should be able to get some more drams in before they close the bar. I tried the cask strength 'flight' which was excellent value and showed another side of the distillery's character and their willingness to experiment with various cask maturations and finishes. Finally, if you ask nicely they may let you try their new make spirit at the shop, but beware, it isn't for the faint-hearted! Staff are all lovely, knowledgeable, approachable, the building is clean, toilets nice, accessibility is great etc. Fun for the whole family!
