Amazing day in Nairobi!!
Absolute must if spending a day in Nairobi before your safari! This tour has all the best sites available in one. Our guide, Black Santa, was a true blessing and highly recommended!! We were picked up at our hotel first thing in the morning and we were on our way to explore Nairobi. Santa was very knowledgeable and told us everything we wanted to know about Nairobi and the places we were visiting. The elephant orphanage is open for 1 hour a day to visitors. It's a definite must see! Santa told us exactly where to stand and what to expect to have the best experience. We enjoyed it so much there and it was so touching we ended up adopting 2 elephants as gifts for our elephant lovers in our family. ($50/year). The giraffe centre was amazing - allows you to have an up close experience with the Rothschild giraffes! A knowledgeable guide at the centre told us all about the 3 types of giraffes in Kenya. Perfect photo opportunities with giraffes here! Santa took us to an authentic African restaurant for lunch. We made best use of our time by ordering from the car and going to visit the Kazuri bead factory while our food was being made. When we came back our food was ready, hot and delicious!! It was very touching to hear about the mission of the Kazuri bead factory. We were able to see beads being made and saw the entire process from the raw clay to the final products. The women there were friendly and very talented! Excellent prices in the store at the end of the tour! So glad we were able to come here! Our final stop was at Bomas of Kenya where we were entertained by local dances from around the country. Before leaving we walked around and saw examples of homes/villages from the past. He also took us to a souvenir shop where the money they make helps the local people. Once you visit, you understand how much they really benefit from this small income. Beautiful things to remember your adventure. Overall, we had a fantastic day with Black Santa and are so glad we booked this trip!
Response from the operator: Hello Nancy It is with great appreciation having received this incredible sentiments .We really are pleased that everything worked out well which was our high end priority .Having Black Santa around was even better we appreciate you recommending him ,The elephants and giraffes surely are a must see they are very warm and incredible insight to nature .To top it up the Kazuri beads factory is a nice walk through for visitors the women are surely inspiring .The culture of Kenya Expressed though the Bomas is surely unmissable hoping that you danced hahaha!!!.We really pray yet another tour sends you back to us .You were part of everything too and thank you very much for your cooperation . Karibu Tena !!!!!

Great way to understand giraffes and get close to them
This makes a good 1/2 day excursion from Nairobi. The centre provided an excellent insight into the Rothschild giraffe and allows visitors to feed them. Can get very busy on the weekends though. Try to get there early.
Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for writing us this wonderful review. We are happy to read that you had an amazing tour with us. Giraffe Center gives you a chance to get up close and personal, and have fun feeding the giraffes. This forms one of the popular tours in Nairobi. Fantastic Day in Nairobi by Perfect Wilderness
We added a day in Nairobi after an 8 day Safari in Kenya, and this was the perfect day ! Our driver Santa picked us up at our hotel and at the end deposited us at the airport for our departure, it worked out perfectly ! He knew his way around Nairobi and knew so much history was so interesting. We got to experience the Baby Elephants at the Sheldrake Orphanage and it was amazing and not to be missed ! Then on to the Giraffe center where we got to pet, feed and hug Giraffes and learn more about their rescue. Fantastic ! we also stopped at a few shops for souvenirs, a nice lunch spot, and then the Dances before going to the airport. It was a wonderful day.. a private tour for just us. Some of our Safari friends were sorry they left and missed this one extra day in Nairobi which was so well worth it.. and i comment Perfect Wilderness for the completeness and efficiency with which they organized to get us to see so much before we left for the airport . Thank you Perfect Wilderness !
Response from the operator: Hello Gm. We really appreciate that you got to enjoy your time on a tour with us, it's always our goal to be able to give the best to our clients, hope next time you contact us for more exciting experience.

Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi cost?
+
Prices start at $52 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Giraffe Centre and Bomas of Kenya Full-Day Tour from Nairobi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
