Ghana cultural trip was also fun
Tour was much more than expected. The itinerary gave us such a wide experience of Ghana’s cultural and historical sites, as well as chance to have fun hiking rain forest and eating at nice selection of restaurants. Our tour guide, George Benson was the best and the reason trip was so great. He was so knowledgeable on history and culture, plus so helpful and personable. His stories on the cultures of the different regions and the country were so entertaining. We visited 4 villages that gave unique glimpse into different cultures, while seeing life in countryside during bus ride through. The welcome and naming ceremony was special. It was good timed after the emotional visits to slave region and the historical tracing of our ancestors’ cruel journey. They gave us so much more history than I knew. The days on this trip, the hotels and restaurants were all perfect. Everyone was very happy with George and the drivers. I would highly recommend this trip and George as guide. The visa process was a little challenging, with using embassy website a problem. Those that used new evisa paid a lot more, process was easier but they were stopped at entry for a review and approval step.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that your experience in Ghana exceeded expectations and that you enjoyed the cultural experiences, historical sites, village visits, rainforest hike, and local cuisine. George Benson will be especially pleased to know that his knowledge, engaging stories, and personal attention made such a meaningful difference to your journey. We’re also glad that the welcome and naming ceremony provided a special moment following the emotional historical visits. We truly appreciate your recommendation of George, our drivers, and Continent Tours. Thank you as well for sharing your feedback on the visa process. We understand that navigating the application and entry procedures can be challenging, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We hope to welcome you back to Ghana for another memorable experience!

Ghana 8 Day Special: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Accra.
How much does Ghana 8 Day Special cost?
+
Prices start at $5,493 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Accra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ghana 8 Day Special take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Accra is not rushed.
Is Ghana 8 Day Special worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Accra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ghana 8 Day Special?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ghana 8 Day Special suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ghana 8 Day Special?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Accra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Accra and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ghana 8 Day Special start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Accra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Accra?
+
On Outty we rank every Accra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture Of Accra in a Day, Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park Day Tour, Accra Guided City Tour: Cultural and Historical Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Accra?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Accra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
