    4. Batalha Monastery

The Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, also called Batalha Monastery, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful works of Portuguese and European architecture. This exceptional architectural ensemble resulted from the fulfillment of a promise made by King D. João I, in gratitude for the victory in Aljubarrota, a battle fought on August 14, 1385, which secured the throne and guaranteed the independence of Portugal. The works lasted for more than 150 years, through several phases of construction. This duration justifies the existence, in his artistic proposals, of Manueline (predominant) Gothic solutions and a brief Renaissance note. Several additions were introduced in the initial project, resulting in a vast monastic ensemble that currently features a church, two cloisters with outbuildings and two royal pantheons, the Founder's Chapel and the Imperfect Chapels. National monument, part of the World Heritage List defined by UNESCO, since 1983.

    6. Museu do Santuario de Fatima

The Sanctuary of Fátima, entitled by the Catholic Church as Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, is a Marian shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima, located in Cova da Iria, in the city of Fátima. The Sanctuary of Fátima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherds - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto - in 1917 Its magnitude and relevance from a religious point of view has long been widely recognized, nationally and internationally. It is also one of the most important Marian sanctuaries in the world and a major international destination for religious tourism, receiving around six million visitors a year. He was distinguished with three papal gold roses and visited by Popes Paulo VI (1967), João Paulo II (1982, 1991 and 2000), Benedict XVI (2010) and Francisco (2017). Its construction started in 1919.

    Extremely happy Aussies!!

We used Antonio twice during our stay and found him to be excellent. He went over and above to assist us in every way. His tours were amazing showing us areas not on the typical tourist map. His vehicle was comfortable and he supplied water bottles all day. He was very generous with his time and best of all pointed out bathroom stops at every sight we visited. 10/10 for us!

Response from the operator: Dear Steven, Karen, Debras and Mark, Thank you very much for your kind review, it's been a great pleasure being part of your 2 journeys and I'm very glad that I was within your expectations. Hoping to see you soon, Friendly, António

    An unforgettable day!

We did a shorter tour, but that was the charm of it, that we took our time for each place we were at. Antonio was a great guide, and the organization was impeccable. A particularly nice surprise was the local restaurant recommended by Antonio for lunch. Many thanks to Antonio for an unforgettable tour! I recommend 101%

Response from the operator: Dear Liivi, Rita, Kadri and Maarika, Thank you very much for your kind review, it's been a great pleasure meeting you, receiving you and being part of the two journeys with you. You were a great group and i'm very glad that i was within your expectations. Hope to see you soon, friendly, António

    Solo traveler finds excellent guide.

This tour was a highlight of my month stay in Portugal. So happy I found Antonio. As a solo traveler, this was an excellent adventure and I was able to visit some extraordinary places. I highly recommend him to solo and small group travelers. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

    Trip around the Cascais area

We had a wonderful full day trip with Antonio. Due to forest fire warning in the area we couldn’t do the planned trip, but luckily Antonio has a plan b, which frankly seemed to be even better :)

Response from the operator: Dear Camila and Martin, Thank you very much for your kind review, it's been a great pleasure meeting you and being part of your journey and I'm very glad that I was within your expectations. Hope to see you soon with the third person, Friendly, António

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos cost?

    +

Prices start at $212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos take?

    +

Is Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Garden of Peace Eden Park, Grutas, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré,Óbidos start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
