Day Trip from Prague to Vienna

Peter was excellent! Our day trip to Vienna from Prague was such a great with him and he tried to make sure we found and saw everything we wanted to. We enjoyed the drive with him. He was very knowledgeable.

    Great day in Vienna

Our driver/ guide Lukas was excellent . Very comfortable , safe drive . A lot to see in Vienna , but we saw some main sites. Long day on a road , but perfect if you have limited time to get a taste of Vienna.

The perfect way to learn about the beauty pf Prague.

We were very impressed with the tour and knowledge of our wonderful driver. We explored all the major sights as well as numerous secret laneways with unexpected surprises. I have limited ability to walk on the cobblestone streets so our driver manoeuvred to the best place for us to get the best views and pictures We stopped wherever we wanted to take photos and were given the history of all the sights. The Astronomical clock was explained to us to understand all the functions. We were connected to an app that explained the ways it worked as well as an animation of all its wonders. Our vision of Prague when we first arrived was very limited and after our tour we realized Prague is a fabulous city with fascinating history. We highly recommend this private tour.

    Disappointed

We were so disappointed with this tour. It was very expensive and we got no free time in Vienna to explore. Our guide stuck with us like glue except for one hour when she led us to a restaurant for lunch. She’s very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Vienna. . Unfortunately, she talked the entire time while we were at each stop. We requested a break after walking very quickly for an hour in Vienna, but she kept saying “ I want you to see one more thing” and would not give us a break for another 25 minutes. We told her our goals were get some shopping for souvenirs as part of the tour. Due to her passion of history and incredibly walking fast, we only got to stop at one kiosk store so we ended up with no souvenirs of Vienna except for a postcard. I understand that the guides need to stay on schedule. But it took away the joy of seeing Vienna having the guide with us all the time and talking all the time. If you want a chance to see Vienna and take the sites and enjoy the culture, this tour is not for you. Good- Driver was on time, was very knowledgeable and passionate about history. Bad – very expensive, guide talked the entire time, would not leave you alone, no break when asked, was unable to shop for souvenirs, walked very quickly through every place.

Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague cost?

    +

Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Vienna Private Tour from Prague start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
