Great day on the Green
A great day on the Green River with Kenzie. I do a lot fishing for salmon and trout in the UK and this was very different and took a while to get the hang of it but Kenzie was really helpful, putting me in the right place and giving advice when I needed it. I managed four beautiful trout between 2 and 3 lbs which give a good fight on a light rod with a fast flowing river. We saw a great variety of wildlife including a young Moose having a drink!

Great day on the Green River.
I had an absolute great day on the river with Brandon. I appreciate Mark setting us up and letting us float the Green River, which was spectacular. Mark and Brandon were very accommodating figuring out the logistics for the day and we fished the entire 8 mile stretch of the Green. Landed some great browns and whitefish and missed a couple hogs. I could not have asked for anything more and will be looking to do this again in the future. Thanks guys for a great day!!!
Response from the operator: Hi Steven, thanks for fishing with us! We're stoked you had an awesome time and would love to have you back!

Epic day on the Snake
My wife and I booked a full day float and landed Caleb as our guide. My wife had only fly fished once before while wet wading on a smaller river. She had only caught one fish on a fly rod and had very little experience with the rod and line. Caleb took the time at the beginning of the float to walk her through the basics of casting and landing fish from a boat. We all laughed when he started telling her what to do to get the fish to the boat and she said, “you are assuming I’m going to catch fish… I’m not that confident.” He assured her she was going to catch. Catch she did. It wasn’t long before I joked, “It’s a good thing we didn’t bet on who would catch first.” She actually caught the first few fish. Caleb had her nyphing with a strike indicator and I was using a hopper on the top of the water. It wasn’t long before we had a double hook up (picture attached). Yes, she caught a sucker fish, but for a green fly fisher, she didn’t care what she was catching. We had a great time. Caleb was constantly coaching us what terrain was coming up, how to drift and mend our setups. My wife also finished the day with hopers and caught several nice ones. Overall epic and unforgettable day on the beautiful and scenic Snake River with the Tetons in the background.
Response from the operator: Thomas, we are so glad to hear you and your wife had an unforgettable day on the river! We love to hear about our guests gaining confidence and trying something new. Come back and see us! Best, Kirstin

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson Hole.
How much does Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole cost?
+
Prices start at $515 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson Hole usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson Hole is not rushed.
Is Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Jackson Hole, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson Hole can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson Hole and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Traditional Driftboat Fishing Jackson Hole start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson Hole within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jackson Hole?
+
Jackson Hole is wildlife-first: sunrise safaris for moose, bison and bears in Grand Teton, Snake River floats, Yellowstone day trips and winter sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge. Guide experience and optics quality separate the wildlife tours. On Outty we rank every Jackson Hole experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Snake River Scenic Float, 8 Hour Combination Snowshoe & Wildlife Viewing in Grand Teton National Park, Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Private Safari Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jackson Hole?
+
June to September for hiking and floats, December to March for snow. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jackson Hole?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
