Changed times, missed attractions, and zero prep info
Not happy with this organized trip. this was booked by me 1 night before spontaneously for the 4 of us. The pickup time mentioned from our hotel from Tirana was 9.15 am. once the booking was made, i was messaged that we would be the first pickup at 6.15 am which left us with no time for breakfast. Also, we would not have booked the trip if this had been mentioned at the time of booking. There were pickups from Durrës which was like hour and half from Tirana. No stops were made for coffee or washrooms. When the young guide came on board upon asking, he said that the Belsh lake would not be covered as there was some road construction going on. Our main attraction was actually not going to happen. The rest of the trip went by as planned. It was not suggested to wear closed sports shoes, and many women had come with sandals (including myself) making the climb (which was a lot) very precarious on the slippery pebbled hill. Not recommended in this heat and definitely not in the 1st half of the day. Most of the time spent travelling in the bus.

Unprofessional - avoid
Booked this day trip with them through Viator, they cancelled at the last minute so Viator won't let me review them. The day trip was booked 4 months in advance then cancelled with less than 12 hours notice so wasn't able to book an alternative as it was my last day in Tirana. Spoiled the trip.

Do not go on this trip
If you stay in Tirana, don’t go on this trip. You end up spending nearly 4 hours extra on the bus. The bus go down to Durres to pick up passangers on many diferent hotels. It took more than two hours before We startes driving to Beret. And nearly the same on the way back. You are better of taking the regular bus. The Belsh lake is realy nothing to see. Just a small lake beside a small town. Everything you do on the trip is free of charge. It’s no entryfee to eirher the castle or the bridge. We did not go to any museums. We did not get any water. We did not get any time in the town of Berat, We just went to the castle and over the bridge. Then we should return. I argued to get 15 minutes in the town. Witch was the main reason for the trip. ( to see the town) In my booking it was writen pick up time 09.15. At 06.00 in the morning, I got a tekst message saying that the pick up was at 08.00. Luckely I am a ligth sleeper, if not, I would miss it. I do not recomend this trip. Save you money and take the regular bus. You’ll be better of.

Amazing castes and Berat is beautiful
Amazing Berat was beautiful and so much history and good food. The tour guide was very good as well. The castle in Herat was great.

A good day out
Did what it says on the box. Pick within promised time range, group of 6 i.e not larger than 8, Minibus was rather aged, aircon not working - could be a problem in hot weather. Berat castle superb medieval site, hard work for anyone with some kind of mobility issue (like me!) , but there's a cafe at the top!!! Lunch (to be paid for) in local taverna; very enjoyable. Overall, a good trip

Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.
How much does Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana cost?
+
Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.
Is Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Tour in Belsh Lake and Berat Town from Tirana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tirana?
+
On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tirana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tirana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
