Went with open top 4WD jeep safari
Overall it was good, it doesn’t cover as many stops as the non-open top jeep tours of the west. if there was one thing I would suggest to improve the experience skip the second rock pool swimming experience in Seixal as the port Moniz is enough and better

Unforgettable Journey
Thank you so much @Luis Castro for the nice and adventurous Nothwest - Enchanted Terraces Tour today. Especially the off-road drive was very exciting, not knowing if we will find the way out of the mud :-). Luis was a very funny and gentle person who had an answer to any questions. Also his deep knowledge about the area and the tips he gave for the best places to go was invaluable. Really an unforgettable journey!

Fun day out exploring
Fun day out and about exploring. Octavian (our driver) was great. Lots of lovely view points, great way to see island and leave the sun bed behind for a day. Swimming stops in the natural pools ( need to pay extra - small fee) were welcome and nice break from heat. Top tip - take a jumper or poncho as we had heavy fog at fanal forest and were not prepared for the temperature drop. Gorgeous waterfalls, fun off road and we were taken great care of. Thank you

Truly wonderful caring guides, fabulous itineraries through Madeira. Half day and full day excursions that are well thought out and include some amazing off-roading. I highly recommend the one to East Madeira if you are a lover of forests! I booked two excursions and wish I had time for more!
