Bosporus views are epic!
Great tour! The Bosporus cruise turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the trip. I wasn’t expecting it to have such great views and be so enjoyable. The dolmabahce palace was breathtaking! It’s on another level and has some similarities to palace of Versailles so get ready to be amazed! Going to the tallest lookout point in Istanbul gives you great panoramic views as well. This tour gave me so many great pictures for Instagram and my own memories I’m really glad I chose this tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your great review. We hope to see you again in Turkey with a longer trip..

Wonderful!
From Ismael's very cordial introduction at our hotel right until the very end of the trip, this was a wonderful experience that I have since recommended to everyone who is/will be visiting Istanbul. What a true pleasure it was to meet with Ismael, gain a social/economic/political background on Istanbul's rich history and see the incredible sights it has to offer. The experience began with a hotel pick-up (on-time, private luxury vehicle, no issues whatsoever) and off we went to the Spice Bazaar which was a true delight in each and every sense. Next, we hopped on the Bosphorus Cruise which took us along the key landmarks on Istanbul's coastline for 90 minutes after which, we visited the Dolmabahce Palace. A magnificent array of beautiful ornaments and stunning architecture greeted us and we were given the opportunity of an audio tour guide which provided a more than sufficient understanding of the Palace and its history. Next, we went to the highest point in Istanbul, namely Camlica Hill which provided a vantage point across the city with views to kill for! Ismael was kind, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about Turkey's history and I would not hesitate to recommend this particular excursions to others. Worth every penny! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!!

Tour delivered did not match Description
We did the Istanbul two continents tour and unfortunately, what was delivered was not what was advertised in the tour description. They ended up showing up 45 minutes late when picking us up from the hotel in the morning and did not call or email to notify us of the late pick up. There was a holiday on the day we booked the tour and they could not take us to Dolmabace Palace. There was no notification that this would not happen and we should have been given the option to cancel or book something else. Additionally, we did a huge budget cruise with hundreds of people. the tour guide did not explain anything we sat alone. Very disappointing. We ended up leaving early after the boat cruise because they were bringing us to a random church which was never outlined in the description.

At the onset, I would still like to...

At the onset, I would still like to believe that viator is a professional company and our next experience/ s would be better. Not giving up on you guys.
This tour was however marred by:
1. Change of vehicle 5 times between minivans and big tour buses
2. Promised a merc minivan but made to sit thrice on the big bus
3. Accordingly, the group size kept changing from 9 to 25 as against a promised 12 max
4. Tour guide was excellent but most of the times kept speaking to the Spanish guys in Spanish leaving us to the the other tour guide who was generally addressing a bigger audience. Logistically difficult. No complaints against that tour guide specifically but this is not what we had paid for.
5. I had to raise this issue with your local support a number of times but he expressed his inability to deliver us exactly what had been promised in the package

The local support was a decent guy, gave us a complimentary night cruise but it was with 250 persons. Though it was decent however that's not why we booked our tour through viator.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Istanbul Tour with Bosphorus Sightseeing Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
