Excellent guide, but logistics need improvement
Our tour itself with Jean-Philippe was excellent! He spoke fluent English, made sure everyone in our large group was comfortable, and helped us see everything we wanted to visit in Les Baux-de-Provence and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The van was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we greatly enjoyed our time with him. Unfortunately, the issues we experienced were related to the booking and management rather than our guide. We were not informed in advance that, because it was a private van, it could not meet us directly outside the cruise ship. Instead, our group was expected to walk more than half a mile to the pickup location in extreme heat. This was very difficult for several members of our group and caused a significant delay at the beginning of our day. We ultimately had to find a taxi to transport some members of the group to the van. We were also told that the tour price included all entry tickets, but the credit card provided to our driver for those expenses did not work. Jean-Philippe did a wonderful job and we would highly recommend him as a guide. However, Provence Panorama should communicate the cruise-port pickup arrangements much more clearly in advance and ensure that the payment method provided for included expenses is working properly.

Great way to see a lot
This allowed us to have a quick, guided view of many highlights of Provence. Means though that you don’t have a lot of time at all of them. Salina was an excellent guide - we learned a lot.

Perfect Highlight Tour of the Area
Frederico was absolutely perfect! He was knowledgeable, funny, and was genuinely fun to be around all day. I cannot say enough good things about his service and tour! The little towns throughout the area are all different and interesting. We especially appreciated the Spring, Le Beaux, and Pont du Gard. Extra special thanks to the tour company who honored our reservation during an especially low time of the season when other tour companies were canceling on us. I genuinely appreciated the tour company keeping their word!

Beautiful scenery and history, our guide was really only a driver.
This tour took us to some beautiful and picturesque places, which were high on our bucket list. Unfortunately we were in the back seat of the minivan and could not hear a word of the commentary. At our first stop, we advised Hubert, our driver/guide that we couldn’t hear him , which he acknowledged that he knew. I asked if he had a microphone so we could hear. No he didn’t. And that was that. He didn’t speak any louder so we could hear and so we were just sight seeing with no commentary on where we were, what we were looking at or any history that went with each place, until we got to the last stop at Pont du Gard. At every stop, we were given a time to return. Hubert didn’t give us a walking tour and so we still weren’t given any information on the places we saw. Hubert was a nice man, helping us out of the van and taking some photos for us at Roussillon. Overall this was a hugely disappointing experience and tour, as this was one of the tours we were looking forward to most on our journey around France. Possibly with a different guide, the experience would have been amazing.

Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Avignon.
How much does Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon cost?
+
Prices start at $144 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Avignon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Avignon is not rushed.
Is Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 166 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Avignon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon?
+
Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Avignon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Avignon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Best of Provence Tour from Avignon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Avignon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Avignon?
+
On Outty we rank every Avignon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Highlights of Provence in One Day, Chateauneuf du Pape wine tour, Luberon Hill-top Villages Small-Group Day Trip from Avignon. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Avignon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Avignon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
