Great views from Lake Bovilla but quad ride disappointing

Not easy to locate the quad bike meeting point. Needs to put a sign on the wall outside the property. We only found the bikes because they were parked up on the front and guessed this was our quad bike tour. The quad bike ride is basically up a road past quarry areas with lots of lorry's not very picturesque. However once you make it to the top of the lake the views are stunning and the outlook is amazing so make the quad ride up and back worth while. Over priced for what is offered.

    Poor value for money

Bad rating. 1. We paid 26O euros for 4 people. 65 pp. There is nowhere in the ad that you have to go on one Quad with two people. More people from the group have complained about this to the tour leader. But this one refers to the ad. That just reeks of a scam. If you only want to ride a Quad you have to pay 85.00 euros (says the tour leader) 2. It says the location is 7 km from Tirana. That might be the case (though I doubt it). We spent an hour in the taxi f/v. Cost per trip 18 euros. So allow at least one hour of travel time. 3. Hairnet or potion are not given (it says in the ad) 4. From the starting point to the lake is about 7 km. You drive on a very bad B-road that is also used by ordinary local traffic. I.e. buses, trucks from the quarry, passenger cars, etc. Nice off road driving is not included. You either have to lead or overtake trucks. 5. Nature is beautiful but you are certainly not alone. Price/quality ratio is disproportionate. Far too expensive. Rene

    Mediocre experience.

We were told on the spot that we got two quads for four people, while this is nowhere to be found in the ad on tripadvisor. Fellow travelers were also angry, because it was not clearly indicated and you paid enough for this activity. Two stars, because I had never ridden a quad bike myself and it was very scary. So on the way back I walked down the mountain. The guide asked if I wanted a taxi to come and pick me up. This was a nice option.

We had an incredible ATV trip around Bovilla and couldn’t recommend it more. Our guide was fantastic super friendly, professional, and spoke both English and Albanian perfectly, which made everything easy and comfortable from the start. The views around Bovilla were absolutely stunning and the whole experience felt safe, fun, and well organized. What really stood out was how patient and thoughtful our guide was. My mom and uncle were a bit slower on the ride, and he never rushed us once he made sure everyone stayed together and enjoyed the trip at their own pace. Overall, an unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of our time in Albania. If you’re thinking about doing an ATV tour around Bovilla, book it you won’t regret it!

From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.

How much does From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla cost?

    +

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.

Is From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Tirana: ATV/Quadbike Tour at Lake Bovilla start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
