3. Igreja De Sao Goncalo

   Its construction began in 1543 and lasted around 80 years. With Renaissance, Mannerist, Baroque and 19th century styles. The pipe organ stands out, as well as the tomb of Blessed Gonçalo de Amarante on the right side of the altar.    A small village right in the center of the Douro Valley, considered the Heart of the Douro Valley. It is the center of the demarcated Port Wine region and the place where several farms producing fortified wine are located. Its landscape is classified by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity. It is this village that will offer you a relaxing boat trip on the Douro River. Sail on the Douro River (Spanish: Duero) is a river that originates in the peaks of the Serra de Urbión, in the Spanish province of Soria. It is the third longest river in the Iberian peninsula. It is 897 km long, 572 km on Spanish soil, 213 km navigable on Portuguese territory and 112 km of an international nature, as its course also forms the border between Portugal and Spain. The Douro River flows into the city of Porto where the famous Porto wines also flow.
