From Marrakech 3 Day Desert Tour to Agadir

Great trip

Let my make it short. Anas and Hasan have done a great job. Anas as a very pleasant knowledgeable guide and Hasan as an excellent driver. Thumbs up high !!!

Great memories however it is a long journey

We really enjoyed the 3-day tour overall. The itinerary is great — visiting Ait Ben Haddou, then heading to the Merzouga desert, and finally continuing to Agadir. However, be prepared for a very long and exhausting journey, with around 12 hours of driving each day including stops. Our minibus was unfortunately not the best. The AC didn’t work very well, even on flat roads. I can say this because we had better minibuses later during our trip. That said, our tour guide/driver was excellent and deserves a 10/10. He was very good throughout the journey and handled everything professionally. The first accommodation in Tinghir was quite mediocre. The shower was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced — there was basically no water pressure at all. The luxury camp in Merzouga, on the other hand, was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The shower and running water worked perfectly, which was surprisingly impressive considering we were in the middle of the desert. The only downside was that our time in Merzouga felt a bit rushed. We arrived around sunset, then had dinner and watched the show. By the time everything was finished, we were exhausted and went to sleep. We had to wake up around 4:45 AM for breakfast at 5:00 AM. I really wish we had more time to actually enjoy the desert and the camp. We also chose the quad option on the way back. Since I was a beginner, unfortunately one of the instructors was quite rude and unprofessional towards me. This is something I think the company should address, as it really affected that part of the experience. On the drive to Agadir, our vehicle broke down with around five hours of driving still left, if I remember correctly. However, our driver stayed calm and managed to arrange two other cars for the group. We eventually arrived in Agadir around 20:00–21:00. Overall, I would still recommend this tour. The itinerary and experiences are great, but just be aware that it is a very long and exhausting journey, especially with all the driving. The desert camp was definitely a highlight, and our main driver/guide was excellent.

Once in a lifetime opportunity. A bucket list item completed.

Outstanding tour. Offered so much culture, beauty and insight into Morocco and the Berber community. Fees were exactly as stated with no hidden costs. The attractions were beautiful and local guides passionate and articulate. Landscape is spectacular. Camel sunset/sunrise was better than I could have imagined. Our tour guide/driver, Hakim was amazing. Knowledgable, friendly, funny, and put us at ease from the start. He also drove safely and always looked after us. Obviously passionate about his people and county. The luxury camp was beautiful, and well worth the extra money if able. Due to the number of people booking through various agencies, pick-up communications were quite last minute, but ease to follow once they came through. 5-stars!!

Great guide, great value overall, amazing experience

We had an overall great experience on this trip. Everything was very easy once we were picked up by our guide, Walid, in Marrakech and we had an amazing three days exploring Morocco, ultimately ending in Agadir. We were in a group of 9 in a large van which comfortably sat everyone. Walid (our guide) and our driver were absolutely incredible and made sure we had everything we needed for the entire three days, they even dropped us off at our hotel outside of Agadir instead of in the city which they certainly didn’t have to do. A few things to note for the three day trip: the luxury camp is well worth it, having AC made the night much easier. The drive is very long, but very much worth it and we make plenty of stops for bathroom/food/drinks. Make sure to bring plenty of cash with you to be able to buy waters, lunches, and snacks along the way (we even found some gluten free snacks at one of the stops). You’ll also need some cash for tips if you want for the local guides. There is a bit of pressure to buy merchandise from the locals but there is generally no problem if you say no thank you to anything. The only real negative we have to note is communication with the organizing company, Morocco trip, could be better. They were originally not responsive to some questions we had early on through TripAdvisor or WhatsApp, and also the night before didn’t officially tell us where our pickup was going to be until after 10pm (and also when I contacted them via WhatsApp they gave me a slightly different pickup spot than what the official actual pickup spot was) but there were truly minor inconveniences and did not take away from the experience as a whole at all. One final Thank you to Walid for everything!

No freedom to choose where to eat

1/5 – Very disappointing. We were effectively forced by the guide to eat at a restaurant chosen by him, even though lunch was not included in the excursion and we had to pay for it ourselves. I already had another restaurant planned, but we were not given a real choice or enough time to eat elsewhere. If lunch is at the customer’s own expense, the customer should be free to choose where to spend their money. This should be clearly communicated when booking the excursion.
