About this experience
- Free Pick up Service at a hotel in Fairbanks - Free Photo Service *** 2 tickets are required for Passengers over 250 pounds or 113 Kilograms *** - Dog Sledding Snow Seasons: From Nov. 1 To Apr. 20. If you use Uber or a rent car to get here, you need to pay additional expense. If you drive to the dog sledding sites, it would be dangerous because of the snow and unknown road conditions. Therefore, we offer to pick you up. The duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes covers the entire experience: transportation, dog sledding, petting dogs, and our photography service. We operate three different trails, and we select the specific route for the day based on the prevailing weather conditions and temperature. In certain instances—particularly when we utilize a trail located close to town—the total duration of the experience may be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Fun adventure
We had a wonderful time. The driver arrived on time and it was a short drive to the dog area. My son was able to pet the dogs before our ride started. The ride was exhilarating. The freedom in the fresh air was amazing. Thanks for the great time.

Overall great experience with the dogs and mushers
Great dog sledding ride with nice pictures taken. It was a lovely ride with the mushers and were given time to pet and interact with the dogs as well as take pictures. The overall cost is a bit more than other dog sledding rides but they provide pickup and drop off along with free photographs and that justifies the extra cost. Everything was superb but I reduced the rating only because I felt the car pickup staff were a bit rushed or hasty.
Response from the operator: If guests fail to appear on time, it causes delays and disrupts the schedule for the next group; therefore, it is absolutely essential that you strictly adhere to the designated pickup time. Although we sent multiple reminders—via email and text message—to ensure guests were fully aware of the schedule, and while nearly all other guests arrived on time, this particular guest failed to observe the pickup time. Thank you. Have a blessed day. Abigail Smith Alaska Journey Tours

An Experience We Will Never Forget!
An experience that we will never forget!. Picked on time up right from our hotel in a spacious very clean SUV. Wonderful experience petting the dogs, getting to know their names, great knowledge given about dog sledding from the owners and great photos taken. We were blown away with how amazing the dogs were on trail and how much they love to run! You will not regret it one bit booking this experience with this great company. Thank you again for memories that will last a lifetime!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fairbanks.
How much does Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fairbanks usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fairbanks is not rushed.
Is Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 243 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fairbanks, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks?
+
Around 85 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fairbanks can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fairbanks and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Free Pickup/Drop off: Dog Sledding with Free Photo in Fairbanks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fairbanks within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fairbanks?
+
Fairbanks is the aurora capital of interior Alaska: heated viewing lodges, late-night chase tours, Arctic Circle day drives up the Dalton Highway, dog sledding and summer riverboat cruises. On Outty we rank every Fairbanks experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights - Aurora with FREE Photos - Arctic Night Tours, Dog Sledding and Mushing Experience in North Pole, Fairbanks Ice Fishing Expedition in a Heated Cabin with Fish Cookout. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fairbanks?
+
Late August to April for aurora, June to August for midnight-sun river trips. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fairbanks?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
