What you get
About this experience
You will see the city and learn about Romania through the eyes of a local, with a story wrapped around the food and beverages' traditions, and cultural behaviour. We will start the experience with a taste of local cuisine, and a walk around the Old Town, where we will also see some of the most well known Tourist Attractions: Hanu' lu Manuc, Stavropoleos Church, Caru cu Bere, National Bank, etc. You will also have the chance to experience public transport and see the famous Obor Farmers' Market where you will taste even more famous Romanian "mici", accompanied by a pint of local beer and a taste of traditional spirits! Here you will also get a feeling of our latest history since this market is situated right in the middle of a common Communist neighbourhood. All these will be completed with information regarding relevant Romanian history, from the very origin to the communist times, with the purpose of understanding not only Romanian current behaviour but also food preferences.

This tour provides great combination of food, history, culture and local sights
This tour is a very great combination of food, history, culture and local sights. We really enjoyed our time in the Old Town learning and tasting, the tram ride to another area of town, the main market, was a learning opportunity about the communist buildings. The Market was enormous and quite interesting. The food we tasted represented the many influences in Bucharest and Romania. I strongly recommend this tour. Andreea is friendly, informative, and a good listener She is very willing to engage and share about all aspects of Romainian life. Her English is excellent.

+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
