Fun experience but we’ve experienced better cooking classes.
They picked us up in a nice minibus at our cruise dock. It was a 45 minute drive to the winery. Started with Jason (son of the owner) telling us about the history of the vineyard and the various grapes. He lacked enthusiasm. We had a short walk into the vineyard and then went back and prepared 3 dishes. The al fresco environment was nice. They then served us 11 courses. The food was good and the wine was generously served. Before leaving we had the opportunity to buy their wine and other Greek products. We were not displeased; we have just experienced more engaging cooking classes.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! Just to clarify—this wasn’t meant to be a long, serious cooking class for grandmas (though we love grandmas!). Instead, it’s a joyful and relaxed introduction to three of the island’s most beloved dishes, with the main spotlight on wine processes, flavors, and, of course, an 11-course meal that’s more “yum” than “lecture.” Just a gentle reminder: we recommend basing future expectations on the tour description, not assumptions, safe travels and happy tasting!

Great
This was a fabulous experience. The scenery on the drive to the winery was so interesting. Walking in the winery was fun. Learning to make some Greek dishes and then eating many Greek dishes was a wonderful way to spend the day. And the wine was very good. The guide/owner was so good at explaining everything.

Excellent Food and Wine Adventure
First, don’t eat before you go. Before you get to the end of this tour, your host will make sure you’ve had more than enough to eat. The tour started with a seem-less pickup at our cruise ship. After short ride in a comfortable vehicle we arrive at a beautiful vineyard. Our host, Jason, met us there and gave us sone history and background of the vineyard. He then discussed the wine making process at the vineyard followed by a pleasant walk through a portion of the vineyard where we learned even more about the winemaker and the process of winemaking in Rhodes. It was pretty chilly that day and sone of us were definitely underdressed for the chilly weather. Our host was quick to accommodate us and moved the lunch and tasting setting indoors. Reset in the less scenic but much warmer inside setting, we next began our wine tasting. We were afforded ample tastes of five or so of the vineyards products. Some unusual and interesting flavors to these local products. All unique and made with passion and care. We particularly enjoyed the more dry red varietal. Next up was a short cooking class. We created several dishes for our own lunch and everyone had the opportunity to lend a hand. Very informative and lots of fun. Great picture opportunities. This part was expedited nicely since a lot of the prep was done. So, not really a totally hands on cooking class but certainly a great addition to the program and a lot of excellent recipes and information. Finally, a well deserved 11-course lunch. Very fresh and healthy preparations. There is more than enough food. Another word if advise, don’t dig into the first two or three dishes too much or you won’t make it to the end. You were able to select for the winery any pairing you liked from there products and they made sure you had plenty of wine to complete your ample meal. Topped everything off with a shot of the winery’s liqueur. A little time to pick up a bottle or so if you favorite wine or some really cute souvenirs. Finally, a transfer and drop off back to your original meeting place or in town for sone shopping. This tour is a great value and well orchestrated. Seamless. Highly recommended if food, cooking and wine fit your interests.

Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.
How much does Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.
Is Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Food & Wine Tour: 11- Course Lunch, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rhodes?
+
On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks, Rhodes Sea Kayaking Tour – The Pirates Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rhodes?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rhodes?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
