Sandbar and snorkeling just north of key largo.
KB was our guide and he was awesome. He was very accommodating and the boat wasn’t super busy. We got to go to the sandbar and snorkel with all the equipment included. Beautiful views and lots of fun. Water was a bit murky for snorkeling but still was worth it to see all the fishes. Tip: when you arrive go to the yellow building and park and the “Hidden Key” where you check in really is hidden. But the dock should be visible, just follow the address it gives you.

Would book again!!!
10/10. Absolutely loved the experience, very personable matched our energy and helped us out with the gear. The price was insanely cheap for the experience. Got there at 1030am and left around 1pm definitely had a great time wouldn’t want to book with anyone else :)

Great crew, unfortunately what is sold on TripAdvisor's page and what crew was hired for were not remotely the same trip
Booked to snorkel US's only narural reef and an ocean sandbar. Were taken into a bay area, not far from marina, by mangrove to snorkel and only when asked about sandbar were we taken somewhere else. Was taken to brackish bay area to shallows next to roadway. Crew was fabulous, trip was not. Boat stalled returning to marina. Fortunately i own Heavy Duty Diesel repair business so even with screwdrivers and a couple small wrenches, my husband and son quickly located problem, resolved it but needed starting fluid to get boat running, had none...finally passetby on boat took captain to matina for some, my family got boat running and headed back. Crew refused tips ftom guests but i tossed tip from our family onto boat just before getting in car. The issues of the adventure were not the crews fault and they did a great job regardless.
Response from the operator: Thank you for recognizing our crew and for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry that the trip did not meet your expectations. Snorkeling and sandbar locations in the Florida Keys can vary based on weather, tides, water conditions, and safety considerations, and the captain may choose the best available locations for that day. We also sincerely apologize for the unexpected mechanical issue on the return and appreciate your family’s willingness to assist our crew. We’re especially pleased to hear that you found the crew fabulous and professional throughout a challenging situation. The Florida Keys are an incredible environment, and every trip can offer a different experience depending on the conditions that day. We appreciate your detailed feedback and will review how the experience is described so that guests have the clearest possible expectations when booking.

Do not Book
If I could put 0 stars I would. Let me start out by saying this was the worst excursion ive ever taken in my entire life and ive taken many. You DONT go to a coral reef like described in the details. They will take you to shallow MURKY water and you snorkel to ONE location and cant see a thing. Not worth snorkeling. Also the crew is “nice” but they were definitely not a host of anything. Also we accidentally bought duplicate booking for 3 ppl and the manager Max told my sister over the phone she would receive a refund just to find out viator said they could not issue one bc owner refused. By far the crappiest customer service we have ever received. Please DO NOT BOOK

Go further south
The ad says that they will take you out to the coral. They do not. You go a few minutes out in the sound and have about 20 minutes to snorkel in shallow grassy water next to the mangroves. Next you don't go to a real sandbar, you head a few more minutes to a shallow area next to the highways and have about another 20 minutes to swim. Which you could just pull over in your car and do for free. Beers are also 11 dollars a piece and a few is added at the end. 54 dollars for 4 cans of beer. Drive another 10 minutes down to the nature preserve and enjoy the actual reef unrushed.

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key Largo.
How much does Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key Largo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key Largo is not rushed.
Is Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key Largo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key Largo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key Largo and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Florida Keys: Snorkel adventure & Sandbar Trip start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key Largo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Key Largo?
+
Key Largo is the dive and snorkel capital of the Keys: John Pennekamp reef trips, Christ of the Abyss snorkels, glass-bottom boats, sunset sails and backcountry eco tours. On Outty we rank every Key Largo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Key Largo Two Reef Snorkel Tour - All Snorkel Equipment Included!, Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys, Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure in Key Largo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Key Largo?
+
December to May for clear water and calm seas. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Key Largo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
