Up the stairs, to the views
There are a LOT of stairs, but the views are so worth it! My 14 year old granddaughter had not problem with the climb and was happy at both levels we attained, although stood back from the rail when reached the very top. There was plenty of room to enjoy the views over Florence and beyond.

Horrible
DO NOT BUY TICKETS HERE. The only thing they do for you is buy a ticket online from Opera del Duomo di Firenze and send them to you. You can buy tickets on the day of for only 15 euros without their help.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your comment. Yes, the tickets can also be purchased online. However, these are very high-demand tickets and are frequently sold out, especially for popular dates and times. To avoid any disappointment, we pre-reserve the tickets for everyone in advance. This reservation has an cost, which we pay upfront to secure the tickets for our guests. That is why our price may be slightly higher than the standard ticket price. The advantage is that you can visit on your scheduled day without having to worry about tickets being sold out or spending time trying to find availability. We take care of the reservation in advance so everything is ready for you. We believe this extra cost is completely justified by the convenience and, most importantly, the peace of mind of having your tickets secured in advance. Thank you

It was difficult to work...
It was difficult to work out where to go and how to find the ticket I had paid for. As a result I missed the whole tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you missed the tour. We would like to point out that the meeting point is clearly stated in the booking confirmation, along with a contact phone number to use if you have any difficulty finding the location. We monitor both WhatsApp and phone calls throughout the tour times and respond promptly to assist our guests. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to guide you to the meeting point as quickly as possible. We always do our best to help guests who experience any difficulty locating the departure point. Thank you

Paying to "skip the line" is worth it when you have limited time in a city.
We only had about 6 hours to spend in Florence on our tour so I bought the "skip the line tickets" which were great because the regular line was long and in the hot sun. They worked great. My only suggestions would be for these travel companies to EMAIL the tickets to us instead of having to meet up with someone in front of a store.

Why this scores 41

Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 109 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
