Lovely day out away from the busy cities and towns
2 amazing places to visit. Both chilled and serene perfect escape from the busy towns with little cafes gift shops and beautiful views and walks in both destinations. Butterfly valley was a stunning walk through a fabulous wooded area with thousands of butterflies every where along with lizards and praying mantis amongst many other wildlife to look out for. The boys loved it and so did we a perfect day out. Most definitely recommended

Disappointed
Not given enough time at venue minibus very small and cramped meant to be a gentle walk at butterfly valley more like a 1km route March all up hill
Response from the operator: Dear Samant , You have done the trip with luxury Mercedes minibus 19 seats full airconditioned ,because is a minibus you spent less time on the road because of less stops to pick up people and the time that our professional tour driver gave you in English is described on the tour ,1 hour in Filerimos and 2 hours in Butterflies valley ,is more than enough to explore both places with calm.

A pleasant day trip.
A very simple and cost effective way to get to both Filerimos Monastery and the Valley of the Butterflies. The cost includes pick up and drop off in an air-conditioned vehicle. It's a nice small group, so there's no pushing or shoving or an overcrowded bus. It's pleasant. It is a pick up and drop off, nothing more. On the plus side, you get to see a little bit of the countryside as you drive through the various little villages etc. We came from Faliraki so it was nice a few familiar areas from a different perspective. Your tickets for both Filerimos Monastery and the Valley of the Butterflies are NOT included. That's OK, it is what it is. You pay very little at both (approx €6 p.p.) so don't very put off booking this. Our driver was very nice and polite, and very welcoming. As a side note, there was NO guided tour, which might have been nice (operator please take note). You do see quite a lot, such as the old Town of Rhodes, a view of the Turkey coastline, and more. It would be nice to have a little running commentary, it would certainly make the bus trip a little less like a bus trip. The communication from the operator was very good. A query about time and pickup was answered quickly, even followed by a phone call to confirm. Very helpful, thank you. All in all, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this little adventure.

Fantastic trip to Filerumos & Butterfly Valley
Prompt pickup, departure and arrival times. Just enough time at each site for sightseeing, 30 minutes longer at Butterfly Valley would have been useful as we went to the monastery at the very top but did not have time for a drink or to look at the lower valley. There were more colonies of butterflies nearer the top and we enjoyed spotting the crabs along the way too. The minibus was very comfortable and air conditioned. Our driver was well spoken and gave us helpful information on arrival at each site plus an informational leaflet. We were picked up at 10am & returned to our hotel at 2:30 which meant we could still enjoy some sunbathing & relaxation time by the pool. Thank you.

Beautiful Filerimos!!
The trip to Filerimos was absolutely fantastic. The church and old fortress are an absolute must visit. The views from the whole area are stunning and the beautiful walkways adorning the area are fantastic. Its wonderful to view the many peacocks roaming the ares freely. The valley of the butterflies whilst very picturesque is a little bit of a let down. The many paths & walkways are very crowded even in late September and its difficult to appreciate the wonderful nature because of this.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.
How much does Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure! cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure! take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.
Is Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure! suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure!?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Filerimos Hill & Butterflies Valley Adventure! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rhodes?
+
On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rhodes?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rhodes?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
