Brilliant Guide, All encompassing Tour
Rachid, a historian and a lovely guy gave me and my boyfriend a lovely tour of Fez and all of its industries. We had a great time for the value, only 500 dirahms. He stopped for lots of photos, helped us negotiate prices with vendors, and was lovely company. I cannot recommend him enough. Truly unforgettable experience. I would absolutely return.

Unforgettable trip
Rachid is a brilliant tour guide. He is an absolute hidden gem in the tourism industry in Fez. Our holiday would not have been the same without his insight, encouraging our curiosity and being patient with us, as it was our first time in the city. I am going to recommend to anyone Rachid as a guide if they’re ever in the area. He’s a history teacher and professor, and it really shows! 5 stars.

A walk through the Fes el Bali with Rachid
We had an absolutely unforgettable day in Fez with Rachid. Being born and raised in the city, he knows Fez inside out and shared its rich history, architecture, culture, and traditions with incredible passion and knowledge. Thanks to him, we were able to experience both the Medina and its surroundings in a way that would never have been possible on our own. What impressed us most was how authentic the tour felt. He introduced us to local artisans, who explained traditional crafts and production techniques, and he gave us fascinating insights into everyday life in Fez. Unlike many guides, he never led us to places that pressured us to buy anything. We always felt completely comfortable and free to simply enjoy and learn. Beyond his extensive knowledge, he is an exceptionally kind, patient, and warm-hearted person. We were traveling with our children, including a three-year-old, and he was wonderful with them. He treated them with genuine care and affection, included them throughout the day, and made sure they enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and enjoyed every moment of the tour. Both our children and we absolutely loved spending time with him. We are incredibly grateful that we found him and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Fez. If you want to truly understand and experience this remarkable city, he is the guide you are looking for. Thank you for a fantastic day that we will remember for a very long time.

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.
How much does Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.
Is Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 13. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Fez Medina Guided Tour with Official Local Guide - Private Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fez?
+
On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fez ( instagram /Photos ), 3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga, 3 Days 2 Nights Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech via erg Chebbi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fez?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fez?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
