    Join us on a fall adventure to explore Downeast Maine at its peak beauty. This tour will take visitors to hidden small gems to connect with the beautiful coast of Maine and see how locals live here. Your local guide will drive you on a 4 hour ride leaving from Mount Desert Island stopping frequently for sweeping views and bountiful opportunities for pictures. After getting out on coastal Route 1, we will stop at some lookout points to catch glimpses of Bar Harbor from afar. Stopping in MIlbridge for unique ocean views, Cherryfield for the river, and finally head into the hills of Blackswoods for lake and mountain views. Cell service is limited in the Blackswoods Rd. Pickup can be arranged at any local hotel or rental within MDI. Alternatively free parking and pickup is available at the Gateway Visitors Center in Trenton. Your local guide will make sure get the best views of while sharing information about wildlife, landmarks, and what it's like to live in Maine.

    What you'll see and do

    1. Sullivan

      The first half of our tour will be along Route 1 leaving from your choice of local pickup in the Bar Harbor area. Our first stop will in Sullivan where we will stop along a lookout point where you can see Cadillac Mountain.

    2. Milbridge

      Our next stop will be a stop in quaint downtown Milbridge with an opportunity to stop at a local coffee shop in a renovated building from the 1800s.

    3. Cherryfield

      In a town built along the river, the picturesque leaves fall around the stone bridge we will walk along. The river provides a gorgeous reflective backdrop for the changing leaves.

    4. Franklin

      Our first stop on Rt 182 back will be on the top of the rumored haunted Catherine's Hill. Depending on the state of the leaves we will make another stop along this beautiful highway. Our last stop will be at a lookout along Long Lake with the most spectacular views for miles around of changing trees.
