Incredible trip in Nepal and Bhutan

My time exploring Nepal was an incredible journey, blending rich cultural discoveries with a challenging and beautiful trekking experience. It was a trip of a lifetime, but what truly defined the experience for me was the outstanding support I received when I unexpectedly fell ill. My guide, Kumar, showed exceptional care, professionalism, and quick thinking during a very difficult moment. He prioritized my health and safety above all else, ensuring I was comfortable and well looked after. What amazed me most was his ability to adapt; Kumar completely reorganized my e itinerary, adjusting the trekking days so I wouldn't miss out on the magic of Nepal small village while recovering. Thanks to Kumar's expertise, flexibility, and genuine kindness, what could be a stressful situation was transformed into a safe, successful, and deeply memorable adventure. I am immensely grateful for his guidance and leadership. Also, my 5-day trip exploring Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro was a truly magical experience. Every single day offered an incredible balance of vibrant culture, stunning architecture, and breathtaking mountain scenery. From diving into the unique blend of tradition and modernity in Thimphu to walking through the majestic riverside fortress in Punakha and completing the unforgettable trek in Paro, the entire itinerary flowed perfectly. Bhutan's peaceful atmosphere and beautiful landscapes completely captivated me. This journey was made seamless and highly enjoyable thanks to my guide, Ugyen, and driver, Jimmy. Ugyen shared wonderful insights into the history and meaning behind each site, while Jimmy navigated the winding mountain roads with absolute skill and safety. Their professional care and welcoming hospitality allowed me to fully immerse myself in the magic of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Perfectly Organized Private Tour Through Nepal and Bhutan

Swotah Travel and Adventure organized and accompanied a three-week private tour through Nepal and Bhutan for my wife and me, and we were absolutely delighted with the entire experience. From the initial planning to the actual implementation, everything was excellently organized. The suggested places, tours, guides, drivers, hotels, and transportation matched our expectations perfectly. Our wishes and preferences were always taken into account, and Swotah always tried to make everything possible — which they did. During the trip, the team regularly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well and to see whether any adjustments were needed. When we both caught a cold for one or two days, a planned hike could be postponed without any problems, which we really appreciated. This was already my second trip organized by Swotah, and I would gladly book with them again anytime. A very special thank you goes to Elisha and Sam from Swotah, who took such good care of us throughout the journey and were always available, attentive, and helpful. I can warmly and wholeheartedly recommend Swotah Travel and Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal, Bhutan, or the region. A truly excellent travel agency! P & K

Rolling Nepal and Bhutan in a Wheelchair

My friend and I were looking for a wheelchair accessible trip to Nepal and Bhutan. These countries have been on my 'bucket list' for years. We were referred to Swotah travel and I couldn't have picked a better team of people. From greeting us on arrival and waving sad goodbyes at the end of our trip, they were with us every step of the way showing great kindness and so helpful as I'm in a wheelchair. They customised our holiday to fully accommodate my needs while still getting to enjoy so many experiences. Their response to my needs was so positive. "We will make it work!" they'd say, and they did. Nepal is an unforgettable country and although sometimes challenging for those with reduced mobility, I was still able to enjoy every minute of it. Bhutan is also amazing. It's whole ethos is equality and happiness. And it's beautiful although accommodation was sometimes tricky in a wheelchair. All of the guides and drivers were so helpful, cheerful and kind. They started to feel like family. One of the highlights for me was visiting the homestay family, eating home cooked food with them and seeing the children. I 100% recommend these guys to you. A big thank you to Ajay, Sijan, Sijil and the team

A Wonderful and Memorable Bhutan Tour

My Bhutan tour was an amazing experience. The journey was smooth, the tour agency was reliable, and the hospitality and accommodation were excellent. The people were very helpful, and the places we visited were absolutely wonderful. I truly enjoyed the trip.

Response from the operator: Welcome back from Bhutan — and what a wonderful account of your journey! Thank you so much. 🙏 Bhutan is unlike anywhere else on earth — a kingdom that has chosen depth over speed, and quality of life over everything else. It is a privilege to be able to share it with travellers, and knowing that your experience from start to finish was smooth, well-supported and genuinely enjoyable is exactly what we work so hard to deliver. What strikes us most about your review is the word reliable. In travel, that is perhaps the highest compliment a guest can give. It means that what was promised was delivered — that you never had to wonder, worry or follow up. That consistency, from the first plan to the last farewell, is something our entire team commits to on every single journey. 🏔️ Bhutan also has a way of staying with people long after they return home — in the silence of the valleys, the warmth of its people, the dzongs rising out of the mist. We hope it stays with you for a long, long time. The whole Swotah team will carry your words with pride. Until we have the pleasure of welcoming you back — to Bhutan, Nepal, or wherever the next adventure leads! 😊🏔️ With warmth from Kathmandu, Ajay — Swotah Travel & Adventure

Memorable Spiritual to Pashupatinath and Muktinath

It was a wonderful journey visiting Pashupatinath and Muktinath. The Swotah Travel team not only planned everything perfectly but also stayed connected with us throughout the trip to make sure we were always at the right place and had no issues. They were extremely responsive, caring, and professional, and their constant communication gave us great comfort and confidence during the entire journey. Overall, it was a memorable and well-organized experience. Highly recommended to anyone planning a spiritual or adventure trip to Nepal!

Response from the operator: Dear Sunil, Thank you so much for taking the time to share this — your words genuinely warm our hearts. 🙏 Pashupatinath and Muktinath are two of the most sacred places in the world, and knowing that your journey through them was peaceful, well-supported, and truly meaningful is exactly what we strive for with every spiritual itinerary we craft. Staying connected with our guests throughout their travels is something we consider a core responsibility — not just a service — so it means a great deal to hear that our communication brought you real comfort and confidence on the road. Your recommendation to fellow spiritual and adventure travellers is the highest compliment we could receive. We hope the blessings of Pashupatinath and the peace of Muktinath stay with you and your family for a long time to come. 🏔️ With gratitude from Kathmandu, Ajay — Swotah Travel & Adventure

Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $1655 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour take?

+

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Exquisite Nepal and Bhutan Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
