We were nice experience for 4days

Oudtshoorn & knysna's accommodations were nice. Yacht club is good place for us in knyna. Paul Coetzee is good guide. I recommend him.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words ladies. You were my first guests from Korea and you were a pleasure to host. I hope South Africa will always be a special place in your heart.

    Spectacular lanscape

We were surprised to get a private guided tour! We had Paul the owner of simply explore South Africa. He was very gentle and attentive but not enough knowledgeable. We had 3 nights accommodation. 1st night in Oudtshoorn -el dorado - 5 stars. Other 2 nights in knysna - unsatisfactory. Also South african’s barbecue was disappointing.

Response from the operator: Hi Danafo It was a pleasure hosting your lovely family. Your son, Ben was a delightful child. In response, I have to admit the salad for your barbeque was not as fresh as we would have liked. Our typical South African barbeque has always been a highlight of the tour so in future we will make our own salad and not rely on the purchased product. Regarding the accommodation in Knysna. You originally booked for a triple room. However as you were two ladies and a male son, I gave you a free upgrade to a two bedroomed Luxury Villa situated in Thesen Island Town. This is the most luxurious and expensive address in Knysna. The property has had 106 reviews of which 93% gave 5 star scores. Regarding the knowledge of your chauffeur driver. He has been living in, designing and managing Garden Route Tours for 28 years. I apologize if he missed something. Warm Regards - Paul

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Explore the Garden Route from Cape Town - 4 Days?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
