Family Friendly Wine Tasting Tour

We booked a family-friendly wine tasting tour and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. The team was incredibly responsive and patiently answered all of our questions, which made planning easy and stress-free. The day itself was perfectly executed. We were picked up right on time in a comfortable, spacious vehicle, and the selected wineries were ideal—not only offering great wine and cheese tastings for us, but also beautiful outdoor spaces where our 10-year-old daughter could relax and play. What really stood out was how thoughtfully the experience was designed for families. Our daughter had her own tasting, plus fun activities like cookie decorating and even horseback riding. She also received a little activity kit for the drive, which kept her happily entertained between stops—such a lovely touch! A special mention goes to our guide, Julian. He was incredibly attentive, flexible with the schedule, and genuinely caring throughout the day. He even went out of his way to get our daughter extra fudge after she loved it during her tasting. His warm personality made the experience feel less like a tour and more like spending the day with a friend. We truly felt looked after every step of the way. I can highly recommend this tour provider to anyone traveling with kids who still wants to enjoy a relaxed and high-quality wine tasting experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that your family had such a fantastic experience from start to finish. It means a lot to know that the planning process felt easy and stress-free, and that the day itself lived up to expectations for both you and your daughter. We put a lot of care into creating experiences that feel just as special for little ones as they do for adults, so it’s wonderful to hear how much she enjoyed the tastings, activities, and those extra little touches along the way. Julian will be so happy to hear your kind words—he truly has a gift for making guests feel at ease and going the extra mile (we love that the fudge was such a hit!). Thank you again for your recommendation, it really means the world to us. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another memorable day in the Winelands someday! 🍷✨

Amazing experience

We embarked on the Animal Adventure Tour with Wineflies Wine Tours, which proved to be an exceptional experience. Our expert guide, Alethea, customized our tour to perfectly suit our preferences. She skillfully balanced family time with couple time, ensuring childcare. The wineries we visited were truly breathtaking.

Response from the operator: We are so glad this experience was so enjoyable for both you and your kiddies! Alethea is certainly amazing with children :) Hope to see you again soon!

We've visited four wineries, and Julian was kind enough to manage all our preferences and to give us the absolute best! Guys, it is a must do!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for an amazing review! We were happy to have you back with us and hope to see you again soon!

Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town cost?

+

Prices start at $2922 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Family Friendly Wine Tour Cape Town start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
