    Just unbelievable

We had the most incredible time with Nick and went on an amazing, breathtaking hike with him. Nick always made sure we were comfortable the entire time, and he combined the hike with fascinating information about the flora and fauna, as well as about Table Mountain, Cape Town, and South Africa. I highly recommend that anyone planning a hike up Lions Head, Table Mountain, or one of the Twelve Apostles book with Nick.

Response from the operator: Howzit Jannis! I appreciate your wonderful review :) It was a total pleasure guiding Celine and yourself up Hout Bay Corner, you both owned it! It's really tough to explain in words our experience, everything we were able to see and how lucky we were with sightings of Klipspringers and we couldn't have asked for better weather. I hope you had a beautiful rest of your stay in South Africa and hope to meet you and Celine again in the near future for another adventure!

Epic Hike up India Venster (Table Mountain)

Nick is the whole package: thoroughly professional, extremely competent and knowledgeable, and exceptionally kind and engaging. I have been coming to Cape Town for 15 years and have hiked up Table Mountain many times, but Nick taught me more about the flora, fauna and history of Table Mountain on one hike than I’ve learned in my 15 years of solo hiking up the mountain. Plus, he surprised me with a French press delicious coffee (complete with homemade Rusks) halfway up the mountain. Turns out he’s a barista too! In a word, the entire experience was EPIC. I couldn’t recommend Nick more highly as a guide.

Response from the operator: Howzit Mark! I appreciate your time and words given to leave me a review and what a pleasure it was guiding you on an iconic route you've never experienced before! India Venster is the ultimate introduction route for scrambling on Table Mountain and I'm sure you'll be back for more adventures. The coffee and rusks whilst taking in the views is always an enjoyed reward after some good hiking and 'under promising and over-delivering' is key in this line of profession. So glad you enjoyed the surprise! You were fantastic on the mountain and I'm looking forward to our next adventure, until next time, have a lekker one!

    A must!

If I could give Nick a 100 stars I would. This was the most enjoyable hike I've ever done during my travels. From booking, the communication was thorough and Nick did an evaluation of my comfort, fitness, and expertise level to make sure this excursion was to my expectations. Lions head was just spectacular, and Nick has such a great eye! The photos are unbelievable. I highly suggest paying the extra fee for the professional photos. I strongly recommend this excursion to anyone not just looking for a great hike and scenery, but also amazing photographs to remember it by. Thank you Nick!

Response from the operator: Howzit V! Wow, thanks for your incredible review and I'm super pleased to know that this was your most enjoyable hiking experience to date. You highlighted my communication and this is a part of my mission to offer my guests the ultimate hiking experience through immersive guiding, tailored to my guest's individual needs. I can 1000% agree with you that opting for my photographic experience is worth it as capturing these images on one of our 7 new wonders of nature is priceless. You were incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you. Thanks again for booking with me and I hope that the remainder of your travels through Africa is just as special. Until next time bro, stay active!

Response from the operator: Hi Tania! It sounds like you had a super enjoyable 48th birthday on our treasured Table Mountain, such a wonderful place to enjoy your special day. I appreciate the 5-star review, however, it's been noted that you did not hike with me and therefore your wonderful review was accidentally posted on my listing. I have reported this in the hopes that TripAdvisor will move your review to the correct listing. Take care and keep enjoying our beautiful mountain!

Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer cost?

    +

Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer take?

    +

Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Table Mountain with an Adventure Photographer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
