3. Tagus River

   This is the Tagus River, the longest river in this region. It was very important for Portugal during the Age of Discoveries, when explorers sailed from here to places like India and Brazil. Because of this river, Lisbon became rich and powerful. Today, it’s one of the best places in the city to enjoy the view, relax, and watch the sunset.

4. Praca do Comercio

   This is Praça do Comércio, one of the most important squares in Lisbon. Before, the royal palace was here, but it was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake. After that, the square was rebuilt and became the main entrance to the city for people arriving by boat. Today, it’s a symbol of Lisbon and a great place to enjoy the river view and take photos

5. Rua Augusta

   This is Rua Augusta, the main walking street in Lisbon. It connects the big square Praça do Comércio to Rossio. Here you can find shops, restaurants, and many street performers, so it’s always full of life. It’s a perfect place to walk, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere of the city

6. Alfama

   This is Alfama, the oldest area in Lisbon. It survived the big 1755 earthquake, so it still looks very traditional. The streets are very narrow because it was built during Moorish times, like a maze to protect the city. This is also the home of Fado music, the traditional music of Portugal. Here you can really feel the old Lisbon atmospher

9. Miradouro de Santa Luzia

   This is Santa Luzia viewpoint, one of the most romantic places in Lisbon. From here, you can see the red rooftops of Alfama and the Tagus River. The blue tiles on the wall show old scenes of the city, and the purple flowers make it very beautiful. It’s a perfect place for photos and to relax.

10. Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol

    This is Portas do Sol viewpoint, which means “Gates of the Sun.” From here, you get one of the best views of Alfama and the Tagus River. It’s especially beautiful at sunrise, but great any time of the day. You can also see the famous tram 28 passing by, which makes it even more special.

11. Miradouro Da Senhora Do Monte

    This is Senhora do Monte viewpoint, one of the highest points in Lisbon. From here, you can see almost the entire city, including the castle, downtown, and the Tagus River. It’s quieter than other viewpoints, so it’s perfect to relax and enjoy the view. Many people come here for sunset—it’s one of the best in Lisbon.
