Wonderful way to experience Lisbon
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Daniel. He grew up in Lisbon and knows the city and its history very well. We had only one day to see Lisbon and have some mobility issues so this tour allowed us to get a feel for the entire city in a short time. Daniel’s personal experiences living in these neighborhoods added to our enjoyment of the tour. We stopped for a snack of Pastel de Nata in a park by the river before taking a quick drive through the historical sections of the city which we would not have been able to walk in. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was a big selling point for us too. This was a great tour for our needs and Daniel’s knowledge of the city was a real plus.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re delighted that you enjoyed exploring Lisbon with Daniel and that our private tour was a good fit for your needs. Daniel’s deep knowledge of Lisbon, together with his personal memories of the city and its neighborhoods, is exactly what we aim to bring to our private tours at Essência da Latitude Turismo Lda: a comfortable, personalized and authentic way to experience Portugal. We’re especially pleased that the private van, hotel pickup and flexible itinerary allowed you to discover so much of Lisbon despite your mobility limitations. And, of course, we’re glad you enjoyed that well-deserved Pastel de Nata by the river! It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Portugal one day. Warm regards, Essência da Latitude Team

Excellent overview of Lisbon with a great guide
Daniel was a great tour guide. He grew up in Lisbon and knows its history and neighborhoods very well. We had only one day to see Lisbon and this tour covered the entire city not just the tourist areas. Daniel explained the development of various neighborhoods historically and included personal details of his life growing up in those neighborhoods. He even added a short drive through the old historic parts of the city since we don’t have the ability to walk the steep streets in those areas. We also stopped for a snack of Pastel de Nata which were wonderful. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was a main selling point for us too.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted that Daniel made your one day in Lisbon such a memorable experience. At Essência da Latitude Turismo Lda, we believe that a private tour should go beyond the main sights, offering a genuine feel for the city and its neighborhoods. Daniel’s personal connection to Lisbon, combined with his knowledge of its history, allows him to bring the city to life through stories and local insights. We’re especially pleased that the private van, hotel pickup and flexible approach made it possible for you to comfortably discover areas that would otherwise have been difficult to explore. And we’re glad you enjoyed the Pastel de Nata along the way! It was a pleasure showing you Lisbon. We hope to welcome you back to Portugal in the future! Kind regards, Essência da Latitude Team

Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $143 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Like a Local Private Tour with Van and Local Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, Escape Hunt Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
