Highlights of Ghana Tour - History, Culture and Nature to Celebrate My Niece, Yolanda Smith, 60th Birthday
Even though not my first time in Africa, it was my first time in Ghana. Here to help celebrate my niece's 60th birthday. This was a 11 day/10 night private tour for us. We were excited leading up to it. But wow were we excited every day of the tour. We give a lot of credit to our tour guide, Modesta Sunfra, and our excellent drivers, Michael and Bennett. This team was so pleasant, very attentive to us, very knowledgeable, honoring our every request even things that came up on the spur of the moment when traveling from city to city. We experienced a lot of culture and history some with much sadden learning of the slavery period. Then much happiness too learning the bead making process, kente cloth msking and black ink making/stamping, naming ceremony and national park rain forest trail spending time in several museums. One major highlight was attending a Christian church there in Ghana's native language, visiting an orphan and donating school supplies, learning an African dance and a night out on the town jazz lounge in Accra in addition to much shopping, great accommodations and restaurants meals. I can't speak highly enough about our tour guide, Modesta, with us from time we arrived at Accra airport until we left ll days later making sure we were safe and sure always with a genuine smile, patience and caring spirit capturing every experience for us and any extra pictures we wanted. A great first trip/experience!!! My only concern is the horrible road conditions traveling from town to town for which Hasa Tours are not responsible.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We are truly delighted that your first experience in Ghana was so memorable, especially as it was such a special celebration for your niece. It means a lot to hear your kind words about Modesta, Michael, and Bennett. They will be thrilled to know they made such a positive impact on your journey. We’re glad you enjoyed the rich cultural experiences, from the history and heritage tours to the hands-on activities and joyful moments throughout. We appreciate your understanding regarding the road conditions, and we’re grateful you chose to travel with us. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable adventure in Ghana or West Africa.

A ‘Welcome Home’ to Remember a Lifetime
Wow!! Trying to put into words what this Ghana Pilgrimage meant to me. This journey was made possible through the connection and organization of HAUSA TOURS! Ghana’s #1 tour company and will be the only team I trust and recommend when visiting the beautiful country of Ghana 🇬🇭 and West Africa! My experience in Ghana was much more than a trip. It was a ‘Welcome Home’ experience of a lifetime that we will carry in our hearts forever. Nawaru Fuseini and team with Hausa Tours did an exceptional job taking care of us. They were extremely professional, culturally knowledgeable and welcoming from the beginning. From the moment we stepped off the plane, to the moment we departed, we felt safe & cared for, like we were family. We traveled with a group of 26 and every experience felt curated and tailored just for us. Our stay was jammed packed and filled with spiritual and cultural structured experiences allowing us to truly engage in the communities and villages visited. Activities included cultural site visits, arts & crafts markets, culinarily experiences, church & school visit and an immersive trip to Easterern Region. This team knows how to have fun!! We laughed, cried, danced, sang, laughed some more and slept very little😆. As any journey goes, everything does not always go as expected. This is when you are able to truly see the character and professionalism of the company you are using. In those times, Regina and the Hausa Tours team made sure those in need received VIP care throughout tour their care. This was truly above and beyond, and totally unexpected..and the whole time with nothing but prayers, smiles, love and professionalism from the team. You just don’t get this kind of service from any tour company. They are SPECIAL and servants of God. I’ve traveled quite a bit and have never experienced a tour company that worked within their individual gifts like Fuseini, Regina, JahSolo, Kofi, Modesta, Richard and team! Fuseini has brought together a PHENOMENAL team of caring, compassionate, funny, energetic, and patient people! As the time drew near for us to say our farewells, there were genuine tears shed, because we had become family! We bonded day one; well before the traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony! Before the plane lifted up on departure day, I already knew I'm planning to return! I LOVE YOU ALL @HAUSA TOURS. Special thanks @Pastor Williams for your guidance, patience and love in bringing us all together for this special Pilgrimage journey to Ghana 🇬🇭!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this deeply moving review. We are truly humbled to know that your Pilgrimage to Ghana felt like a “Welcome Home” experience. Hosting you and the entire group was an absolute blessing. From the cultural moments to the spiritual connections, the laughter, the music, and even the unexpected challenges, your grace and love made the journey unforgettable for us as well. Your kind words about Fuseini, Regina, JahSolo, Kofi, Modesta, Richard, and the whole Hausa Tours team mean more than you know. We are grateful for the trust you placed in us and honored that you now call us family. We can’t wait to welcome you back home again. With love and gratitude from all of us at Hausa Tours ❤️🇬🇭

Phenomenal travel experience with Hausa Tours
I had an outstanding experience touring Ghana, Togo and Benin with Hausa Tours from October 28 through November 12, 2025. The customer service and attention to detail were exceptional in every way. Each member of the team felt like family. The sites we visited all held great cultural and historic significance for me and others on the trip. The tour guides at each stop were very knowledgeable and informative. I especially enjoyed Mr. Fuseini Nawaru's traditional stories, sharing of cultural norms and practices, and pointing out and sharing about sites along the way as we traveled by bus. Each hotel we stayed in was well-appointed and beautiful. The food was delicious and nourishing. I was able to enjoy a wide variety of local foods on my mostly vegan diet. I experienced a minor medical emergency while in Ghana, and the Hausa Tours team made sure I got great care. I deeply appreciated that a team member was with me every step of the way. I have to say again that the customer focus and attention to every possible detail far exceeded my hopes and expectations. I can't imagine traveling in Africa with any other tour company. I highly recommend Hausa Tours for anyone looking to receive a deep culturally significant travel experience in Ghana and in the other African countries Hausa Tours leads travel in. I completely understand why Fuseini Nawaru of Hausa Tours won Eastern Region Tour Guide of the year 2 years in a row! Thank you Fuseini and team!
Response from the operator: We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful review and are thrilled to hear about your outstanding experience during your tour across Ghana, Togo, and Benin. Thank you for highlighting our team’s dedication, the cultural depth of the itinerary, and the care you received when you needed medical support. Your recognition of Mr. Fuseini Nawaru’s guiding and storytelling is deeply appreciated. Thank you for choosing Hausa Tours, we look forward to hosting you again on your next African adventure.

Experience of a Lifetime
Fuseini and his group were simply incredibly. They were professional, caring, attentive, and responsive to every detail no matter how large or small, and made sure our experience was fun and one we won't soon forget. They definitely over delivered and surpassed all of our expectations. Besides the tours, history lessons, and cultural stories, Fuseini and his team helped with food choices, shopping, transportation, and luggage. I highly recommend Hausa Tours without hesitation or reservation.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the glowing feedback! We’re so glad we could exceed your expectations.

Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Accra.
How much does Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $2905 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Accra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Accra is not rushed.
Is Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Accra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Accra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Accra and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Ghana Multi Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Accra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Accra?
+
On Outty we rank every Accra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park Day Tour, Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture Of Accra in a Day, Accra Guided City Tour Cultural and Historical Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Accra?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Accra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
