Good English speaker. Was able to tell us all about Senegal, it's history and it's current situation. Car was spotless
Great overview of the city of Senegal Dakar. Interesting history and culture here. Working hard on Education so as to improve the country.

Really just an expensive taxi service....not a tour
We expected a pick up at the port and instead discovered after multiple phone calls that the car was located outside the port in the Taxi section so this caused us to be 30 minutes late. Then the English speaking "guide" really just told the taxi driver where to go. She didn't even greet us or give us her name until we pressed her to engage with us. No historical or cultural information was provided...no water...no discussions. This tour was really just and expensive taxi ride.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, The guide had no reason to be impolite, if this is your perception than we apologize. Also note that on that day cars were not allowed in the cruise terminal so we had to meet you outside and due to that your pickup was also 10 minutes late not 30 minutes as specified above.

Totally unsatisfactory!
The tour guide wasn’t trained to be a tour guide. He didn’t have an itinerary for the tour. We had to tell him where to go. He knew little about the town and/or country (Senegal). We paid over three hundred US Dollars for the tour. It was a total disappointment. He was a nice guy. It’ll fair to us to refund most of what we paid for. Otherwise, Viator’s reputation is at stake. We have used Viator previously and were very pleased with it. We have signed up with Viator, other tours at Cape Town Africa.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, You told the guide that you had a pain in your back and did not want to visit certain places. So, we shortened the excursion as you requested. We are astonished by your comments here.

Enlightening introduction to the greater Dakar area shore excursion
We had a delightful day with Wolimata as our guide and Bouka, our driver. Although we didn't get to do certain things due to traffic (not at all the fault of the guide or company), they were more than accommodating in making alternative plans.

Dakar 360! An AMAZING tour!!
EXCELLENT tour guide (Mustafa) and driver! They made sure that we saw all the import sites and were very accommodating to all of our requests. They answered all questions and are such lovely people. Lots of laughter and fun in Dakar!!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Excursion - Dakar 360 °: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dakar.
How much does Excursion - Dakar 360 ° cost?
+
Prices start at $118 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dakar usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Excursion - Dakar 360 ° take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dakar is not rushed.
Is Excursion - Dakar 360 ° worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dakar, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Excursion - Dakar 360 °?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Excursion - Dakar 360 ° suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Excursion - Dakar 360 °?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dakar can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dakar and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Excursion - Dakar 360 ° start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dakar within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dakar?
+
On Outty we rank every Dakar experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Dakar and Gorée Island full day, Taxi DSS to DAKAR,SALY,RIU HOTEL,SOMONE ( please check Options), Full-Day DAKAR city / GOREE Island Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dakar?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dakar?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
