Relaxing day trip to Evora and winery

Very relaxing and peaceful trip to Evora and surrounding winery. We learned about the cork creation process for wine and other goods. Miguel was very knowledgeable and was a great guide. The city of Evora is small, but it has a lot of charm and beauty, and the chapel of bones was hauntingly curious. The wine was great as well.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear you had a relaxing and memorable day in Évora and at the winery. The cork tradition is such a unique part of Portuguese culture, so it’s wonderful to know you enjoyed learning more about the process behind it. We’re especially happy that Miguel helped make the experience even more special with his knowledge and guidance throughout the tour. And yes — the Chapel of Bones certainly leaves a lasting impression on everyone who visits. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Portugal for another adventure soon! Évora tour with friends

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This Évora tour was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The day was perfectly balanced between culture, history, and wine, making it one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. The visit to the Ervideira wine caves was exceptional. Walking through the cellar, learning about the winemaking process, and tasting such refined, characterful wines gave us a true sense of the Alentejo’s soul. The experience felt authentic, relaxed, and deeply connected to the land. Évora itself is simply breathtaking. Exploring the historic center, with its Roman Temple, Cathedral, and charming streets, felt like stepping back in time. The guide’s knowledge brought the city to life, sharing stories and context that made every monument more meaningful. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and unhurried. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the essence of Alentejo in one day — history, wine, and atmosphere at the highest level. Highly recommended.

bad customer service and bad communication

Somewhat sorry to write a bad review, but this tour operator attempted to re-schedule 2 hours before our tour, at 6 am in the morning. We scheduled them for a 9 am pickup, changed to 8:30 at their request. The day of the tour they asked us to reschedule and after saying we couldn't reschedule, they said"wait a minute" and ghosted our texts asking for updates. I saved the conversations by screenshots, so I have proof. Can not recommend this tour or tour operator

Response from the operator: We’d like to clarify the facts. The guest was contacted in advance due to an unexpected personal emergency affecting the guide. When rescheduling was not possible, the booking was fully canceled and 100% refunded immediately. No service took place. While we regret the inconvenience caused, the matter was handled transparently and in line with platform policies. We respectfully disagree with the characterization of this situation.

Must do

Best team ever! We went to breathtaking spots (the Roman Temple is super well preserved) and had amazing food. Such a great day and tour. 100% recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with us! It truly means the world to our local team to know that you enjoyed the tour. We’re passionate about sharing the authentic flavors, landscapes, and traditions of our region, and it’s always a joy to hear that it resonated with our guests. Your kind words encourage us to keep doing what we love — creating meaningful, immersive experiences that connect people with the real essence of this beautiful place we call home. We hope to welcome you back again someday for another adventure — whether it’s more wine, food, culture, a hike, or an off-road journey!

Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors cost?

+

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Evora & Alentejo Wines: A Journey Through History and Flavors start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
