Just Do It

One of the most amazing experiences of my life. The price seemed high but was worth every single cent for a once in a lifetime experience. The booking company Himalayan Social Journey were very professional and had great communication. The helicopter company were also very professional and I felt completely safe at all times. The pilot provided information during the whole experience pointing out everything of interest. Landed at Lukla Airport, Gorakshep and Everest View Hotel for breakfast.

Response from the operator: Dear Julie, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re truly delighted to hear that your experience with us was so memorable and lived up to your expectations. It’s great to know that you found our team at Himalayan Social Journey professional and communicative, and that you felt safe and well-informed throughout the helicopter journey. Our pilots always strive to make the experience both enjoyable and insightful, so your kind words mean a lot. Landing at Lukla, Gorakshep, and enjoying breakfast at Everest View Hotel are indeed special moments, and we’re so glad you were able to fully appreciate them. We’re honored to have been a part of your once-in-a-lifetime adventure and hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable journey in the future. Warm regards, Himalayan Social Journey Team

7 Day Nepal and Everest Tour

Himalayan Social Journey provided us with a wonderful level of care and attention on our tour around Nepal and to Everest.Certainly the helicopter flight to Everest was a truly magnificent experience and we cannot praise our pilot enough in his professionalism. Our 2 guides Dependra and Diffam were always attentive, friendly and accommodating. The accommodation at Gokarna , a favourite of ours. Internal flights well organised with Yeti airlines and accommodation in Pokara was made very special by the staff . We can certainly recommend Himalayan Social Journeys for a very memorable tour of the stunning Himalayan country of Nepal.

Response from the operator: Dear Sandra, Greetings! Thank you so much for the review. Our team including guide are very happy with your feedback. It is always a great pleasure to organize tour with such an enjoyable person like you. Have a wonderful time. HSJ Team.

Everest Helicopter Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Everest Helicopter Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $1500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Everest Helicopter Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Everest Helicopter Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Helicopter Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Everest Helicopter Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Everest Helicopter Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Everest Helicopter Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
