Trekking to Everest Base Camp
I just returned after 14 days spent in Nepal between Kathmandu and a wonderful trek to the base camp of Everest. It was a wonderful experience, and I would like to thank the agency and Sobit, who organized my trip down to the smallest details, as well as my guide Sauren, who was always attentive and available, highly knowledgeable, and accompanied me day by day with experience and enthusiasm on this fantastic adventure. Highly recommended!

An Unforgettable Himalayan Experience with Bold Himalaya - Seeing Everest with the amazing people.
My wife and I did the 6-day Everest View Trek with Bold Himalaya in June 2025, and it was truly a beautiful experience from beginning to end. We booked easily through their website, and right away, communication was excellent—clear, timely, and welcoming. Sobit, the owner of Bold Himalaya, handled all communication leading up to the trek. He was professional, kind, and always quick to answer questions. He made the planning process smooth and stress-free. Once we arrived in Kathmandu, the hospitality continued. As soon as we checked into our hotel, the team reached out, let us know their ETA, and came by to personally welcome us and brief us on our upcoming adventure. That personal touch set the tone for the rest of the trip. Our guide, Sirjan, was absolutely fantastic. Kind, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about the trail, the region, and local culture, he took excellent care of us throughout the entire trek. He encouraged us at just the right times, never rushed us, and offered great insights along the way. He made sure we felt safe, comfortable, and confident each day on the trail. His genuine warmth and friendly spirit made him a joy to trek with. Thanks to Sirjan’s care and preparation, we had no issues with altitude. Although we brought Diamox as a precaution, we never needed it. With his guidance, we acclimatized smoothly and felt great even at the highest point of our trek—Everest View Hotel (~3,880 m). All logistics were handled flawlessly. Our flights, permits, and accommodations were all prearranged and went smoothly. We didn’t have our boarding passes before arriving at the airport, but we received them quickly and without any difficulty during check-in, with Sirjan guiding us through the process. Teahouse lodging was exactly what we expected—basic but clean—and we appreciated the private bathrooms and hot showers. Sirjan even helped us order meals that hit the spot after long hiking days. The scenery was, of course, breathtaking. Seeing Namche Bazaar for the first time, enjoying crisp mountain air, and standing before Everest under clear blue skies were all unforgettable. While we didn’t spot any wild Himalayan wildlife, we did share the trail with the many beasts of burden—donkeys, horses, jhopkya, and yaks—used to transport supplies across the region. Visiting the Sherpa village of Khumjung and seeing these animals up close added a unique perspective to the experience. One surprise highlight for me was swimming in a freezing-cold mountain waterfall pool on the way down—a refreshing, wild moment! But above all, sharing this experience with my wife in such a majestic setting was something we’ll never forget. Even after the trek, Sobit continued to go above and beyond. He personally picked us up from the airport when we returned to Kathmandu, helped us collect the luggage we had stored at our first hotel, and then drove us to our next hotel. That level of care and service truly stood out. This was our first trek with Bold Himalaya, but it certainly won’t be our last. The value for the experience we had was excellent, and we’re already considering a return next year with a group of friends to tackle Everest Base Camp—with Sirjan and Sobit, no question. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and experienced company for your Himalayan adventure, look no further than Bold Himalaya. The beauty of the region is quite unforgettable—but so are the people who help you experience it.

Incredible Everest View Trek
My husband and I did the Everest View Trek. Wow, were we blown away. First of all from the beginning Sobit was easy to communicate with and quickly would answer any questions that I had. He also set up a meeting with us at our hotel the night before the trek so we could talk about all of the logistics and so he could answer any questions we had. He also picked us up from the airport and helped us pick up our bags from our first hotel and then dropped us off at another hotel. The hospitality and service is absolutely top notch. Second, our guide Sirjan was beyond incredible. He was constantly checking on us seeing if we needed anything during the treks. He made sure that our accommodations were good and that we were getting fed well. We felt so comfortable with him and we were sad to have the trek end. I could not recommend Sirjan enough. Third, the actual trek itself was amazing. We had originally wanted to do EBC trek but with time constraints we decided on the Everest View Trek. We were blessed to have incredible weather and we got to see so many of the different peaks including Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam and many others. Trekking through the villages and across the bridges was so beautiful and wonderful. If you are short on time and want to still get the experience of the Sherpa villages and seeing the peaks I highly recommend the Everest View Trek. I also highly recommend booking with Bold Himalaya. We are already thinking about planning another trip with them!

Awesome experience!
Completed an 8-day round trip EBC trek from Lukla in late May 2025! We ascended in 5 1/2 days and descended in 2 1/2 days which was quick compared to normal but something my daughter and I wanted to complete. Ramesh was a fantastic and attentive guide and Sobit was an excellent trek coordinator. Can’t say enough about our experience and we highly recommend Bold Himalaya! Next stop Annapurna! 😎

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $1400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 192-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Experience Trek 6 Day Hiking Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
