What you get
About this experience
Etruscopolis is a trip in the bowels of the Earth, along the centuries in the Etruscan Civilization. It is an authentic artistic masterpiece which tries to defeat the strain of the centuries corroding and fading everything fleeting! It is a plunge in the past in the middle of decoreted tombs, homes, secenes of daily life, faithfully reproduced by the artist Omero "the last Etruscan". In fact in the large museum area of Etruscopolis, vases and bronzes of Etruscan inspiration are created not reproduced by OMERO who becomes in this way the continuator of the art of his ancient fathers. The artist Omero has managed to discover the secret of the archaic dough and the ancient manufacturing techniques, so that his creations are authentic even to the most sophisticated tests. For this reason, because of their strong resemblance to the original objects, they are sold with a certificate attesting its provenance like at British Museum or Metropolitan Museum in New york City.

Don’t miss the Etruscans and Tarquinia. You’ll regret it!
Be sure to ask for Andreas. He picked us up very promptly at the Cruiseport and we were off on our adventure. He is the unofficial mayor of Tarquinia and knows every nook and cranny. The underground city of the Etruscans was absolutely amazing. You will be so surprised and love it! We continued with a walk of the walled town of Tarquinia seeing what a delightful town it is. He narrated our entire trip. We took a quick side trip to the salt flats used for research and enjoyment by the locals. We are foodies and our lunch at a small local restaurant with it’s six courses and wine was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the price of the tour.

Ann & Chuck’s fantastic Day!
Alex was a fantastic guide. Thank you Sir for a most memorable day! A very personal day and sooo much better than huge crowds in Rome!

A tour to remember
Our tour guide (Andrea) made the tour exciting. He lived in Tarquinius and was able to make the village and sites come alive. His love of the area was evident... the Tombs were a sight to see...we ended the tour with a wonderful lunch and conversation.... highly recommend

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.
How much does Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans take?
+
Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.
Is Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Etruscopolis: Once Were Etruscans start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
