Upcountry and Yala safari experience
We went on a two day tour of Ella and Yala National park with Lanka tours. We did brief stopovers in Kandy Dalada, Peradeniya university, Ramboda falls, Tea estate and tea tasting, Nuwaraeliya Eliya (Sita Eliya temple) along the way. Breathtaking sceneries, water falls, mountains and activities. Deshan was our guide and ensured we covered everything we wanted to see and do. Absolutely brilliant tour and excellent service by the tour company. In Ella, we did zip line ride, mini Sri pada climb, Ravana cave, stroll in Ella town dining and shopping areas, nine arch bridge. But if you want to do it in two days, be prepared to start early on the first day and finish late on the second day. It is well worth your two days and keeping yourselves active.
Response from the operator: I wanted to extend my sincere gratitude for taking the time to share your wonderful comments about your recent two-day tour with Lanka Tour Host. We are truly thrilled to hear about your positive experiences and are grateful for your kind words. Your detailed account of your journey through Ella and Yala National Park, as well as the various attractions along the way, fills us with immense pride and satisfaction. It's heartwarming to know that you enjoyed the breathtaking sceneries, waterfalls, mountains, and activities we carefully planned for your tour. We are particularly pleased to hear that Deshan, our dedicated guide, contributed to your memorable experience. We take great pride in our team's professionalism and knowledge, and Deshan's passion for showcasing the beauty and culture of Sri Lanka shines through his work. Your mention of the activities you engaged in, such as the zip line ride, mini Sri Pada climb, Ravana Cave exploration, and the cultural and shopping experiences in Ella town, highlights the diverse range of experiences we aim to offer our clients. We are delighted to know that you found these activities enriching and exciting. We understand that our itineraries can be packed, but we believe that the early starts and late finishes are worth it to provide you with a comprehensive and engaging experience of Sri Lanka's wonders. Once again, on behalf of the entire Lanka Tour Host team, I want to express our heartfelt thanks for choosing us as your travel partner and for sharing your feedback. Your comments motivate us to continue delivering exceptional service and unforgettable experiences to all our valued clients. Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ella and Yala National park Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.
How much does Ella and Yala National park Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ella and Yala National park Tour take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.
Is Ella and Yala National park Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ella and Yala National park Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ella and Yala National park Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ella and Yala National park Tour?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ella and Yala National park Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
